BURNS DECIDES TO QUIT BEFORE HE'S INDICTED

>

Looks like the next casualty from the Republican financial corruption scandals will be Abramoff's bitch from Montana, Conrad Burns. Aside from the Scalito hearings no one in DC could talk about anything today except Burns being politely told to retire-- fast. And now the story is starting to populate the web. Can it surprise anyone though? Burns was the biggest recipient of Abramoff's largesse, for which he did almost as many favors for the Republican lobbyist as DeLay did. In all likelihood, Burns will be indicted before November. Last month I did a story that would lead any sane person to conclude that, one way or another, Conrad Burn's is in the process of wrapping up a long and shameful career in politics.

TUESDAY UPDATE: BURNS HAS LOST HIS MARBLES; CLAIMS HE WON'T RESIGN-- AND THAT ABRAMOFF WAS JUST A "BAD APPLE"

Conrad Burns is clearly delusional and in the midst of a nervous breakdown. Claiming that un-named "political enemies" have falsely linked him to Jack Abramoff, he vows to stand for the U.S. Senate again in November. He didn't appear necessarily drunk but he started screeching at a meeting of the Lee Newspapers State Bureau reporters. "Write it down, real quick: I've never had more enthusiasm or higher energy for a campaign in my life than I got right now, OK? End of story! Take it to the bank! Make book on it!" Astounded observers think the lady doth protesteth too strongly.

The ultra corrupt senator from Montana was the biggest single recipient of illegal funds from the Abramoff he claims to not know. In return for those bribes he did Abramoff's bidding on behalf of Abramoff clients in Michigan. Both Abramoff and his former partner, Michael Scanlon, have given the Feds enough information about Burns to send him to prison. But, like Cunningham, DeLay, Hunter, Doolittle, Ney and the rest of the caught-red-handed gang, he's loudly proclaiming his own innocence. NO ONE BELIEVES HIM! He even claims he isn't under investigation.

WEDNESDAY UPDATE: BURNS LOSING GROUND IN MONTANA

Rasmussen has a new Montana poll out today which is showing more erosion of support for Burns-- and this is before all the news came out about his involvement with Abramoff's criminal scandals! Likely Democratic nominee John Tester, a forthright Western progressive, has now caught up with him. Even worse news for Burns is that 65% of Montanans say that the Abramoff scandal will be an important issue for them when they decide who to vote for in November.

Beware of the new Internet Annoyance law. Anyone found being " annoying" to another via the internet without first identifying themselves is now a criminal.

here is the link to the one and only article on the internet... More Nazi-tactics.
