Don't forget, a "new season" of The Colbert Report begins tonight

I'm still waiting for the show to take its place as a worthy companion to The Daily Show, but I'm also prepared to wait a bit.
Except for the nightly feature "The Word," with those bullet points that are posted behind Stephen Colbert interacting wickedly with his spoken text, the show doesn't seem to have much focus. But if anyone's earned the benefit of the doubt, it's Stephen C.
It must be one of those facts of life you have to live with at The Daily Show that when you have people as talented as Steve Carell and Stephen Colbert, you can hold onto them only so long. Give the Daily Show folks credit for trying to find a way to keep Colbert "in the family." I'd love to see The Colbert Report really come together in the "new season."
