DOES GEORGE BUSH STILL HAVE A ROLE TO PLAY?

>

George Bush isn't on center stage right now. He seems more irrelevant with each passing day (other than to the dozens and dozens of Republicrooks waiting for promised presidential pardons). Right now he's off wasting time in the Middle East, ducking the mounting fear of a giant Republican recession, the only possible outcome from years and years of his reactionary and irresponsible fiscal policies. Instead, he's doing what he does best-- making people hate him (and us).

Listening to the GOP debate in Myrtle Beach today, you would have never guessed these candidates-- i.e.- the pathetic pygmies-- are all trying to be the personification of a third George Bush term. In fact, each has gone out of his way to portray himself as an agent of change-- and change means NOT BUSH. Even when they voice support of Bush's policy of escalation in Iraq, it is always in terms of rejecting the old Bush-Rumsfeld strategy.

Bush does have a crucial role he could play now, the most important in his life. He and Cheney should be impeached and also tried as criminals in an attempt to revitalize the democratic ideals they have wrecked. Other than testifying in his own defense, what exactly could this lame duck be doing now? Well, our friends at Blip TV have the video of the day : Bush's answer to all that ails the American economy. Hopefully he'll release his plans as soon as he gets back from mucking things up in Israel and Palestine. Take a look-- back at the Blip TV link in this paragraph.

Like hell it would be a Republican recession...seeing as how the Democrats are currently in control of Congress. I would think that they would bear some of the blame as well. Of course, MAYBE (and this is a whole new concept) the ups and downs of the economy have more to do with the ups and downs of the free market and little, if anything, to do with who has power in Washington.

Why are all the Republicans named Anonymous?

The ups and downs of the market are also heavily influenced by the Fed's interest rate decisions. That would be the Republican Fed.

War spending, too, also primes the pump and Bush owns that with the Republicans in Congress almost unanimously complicit

Why are animals always taking a sniff of lil George's zipper?

Just remember that there are many complicit Democrats in Congress as well who have voted for the war funding. So again, the idea that is a Republican recession is just one big fat load of liberal BS.

There are indeed plenty of Democrats who have conspired with Bush on behalf of the corporatocrasy to redistribute power and wealth away from the middle and working class. These Democratic Insiders should be dealt with as harshly as the Republicans.

Anonymous (if that is your real name!), whether fair or not, the Party in the White House always gets credit or blame for the state of the economy. Granted it's not always fair since the Fed has more control over the economy than the White House or Congress. Just imagine for a minute folks how much worse off things would be if we were actually the Banana Republic that Bush and Cheney are trying to turn us into. Many third-world Banana Republics (no not the clothing store Al, you Dumb Fuck) have their central banks controlled by their politicians which always leads to disaster (a ruinous inflation mostly, as the politicans try to stimulate their economies during election years by cutting interest rates). Thank God that the Fed here and European central bank is largely independent.

And that ends our Economics 101 lesson for today.
