K STREET'S LOSS IS AMERICA'S GAIN: CHIP PICKERING (KKK-MS) IS READJUSTING HIS ROLE IN THE CASH FOR VOTES CULTURE OF CORRUPTION

One of the Confederacy's most extremist congressmen, Chip Pickering (R-MS) will soon officially be working on K Street. He's resigning from Congress. Yeah, yeah... another one bites the dust. This one was somewhat unexpected. It's a clear signal, though, that Thad Cochran has no intention of retiring from the Senate. That's what the 44 year old six-term Pickering really wanted, although he said he wants to devote more time to his family.

His 3rd congressional district is virtually incontestable by a Democrat; and no Democrat bothered to try in 2006 or 2004. Kerry only managed to pull 34% of the vote, considerably worse than he did in Mississippi as a whole. Pickering managed to amass one of the most extreme right-wing voting records in Congress and has been especially friendly to corporate special interests. He has taken massive campaign bribes contributions from Big Pharma, HMOs, Telecom and communications and energy. He is widely considered one of the biggest whores in the House of Representatives. He'll fit in well as a lobbyist.
