Debate One Was Mostly A Dud... But It Showed Why Elizabeth Warren Is A Front Runner And The Others... Aren't
>
Stephen Colbert was wrong about de Blasio, who wasn't allowing himself to be ignored by a batch of jackass moderators. His interruptions were welcome. Trump's weren't. Señor Asshole tweeted that he found the debate last night boring. Maybe it would be more exciting for him if his head of the Pennsylvania Republican Party, Val DiGiorgio, were sending everyone pictures of his penis just the way he was doing in Philly before being forced to resign this week.
Elizabeth Warren had the best opening response and the best closing statement. Savannah Guthrie had the worst. I hope they don’t let her on tonight. Asked who they thought should be voted off the island, it was clearly the most right-wing and clueless man on stage, John Delaney, the self-absorbed rich-guy who threw $17 million of his own into the campaign, only to find himself with 0.4% in the RealClearPolitics current national polling average. It’s hard to imagine he legitimately qualified for the debate. Many expect Frackenlooper to be even worse this evening. And by the way, two right-wing web-sights that polled already-- Drudge and the Washington Examiner-- found that Tulsi Gabbard, a frequent Fox News guest, so familiar, won. She insists she's a Medicare-for-All supporter... but when asked to see a show of hands for ending private health insurers, it was only Warren's and de Blasio's hands that shot up. Tulsi's remained as down as Delaney's.
Here’s my ranking of who did best and worst:
• 5 did well:Most clueless coverage of the night was from— surprise, surprise— establishment shill Jonathan Chait, who attacked Elizabeth Warren for embracing something most Americans want. “Early in the first Democratic presidential debate, all the candidates were asked who would abolish private health insurance. Only two raised their hands: Bill de Blasio, who is not going to be the party’s nominee, and Elizabeth Warren, who might be. Should that possibility come to pass, her frank answer could prove deeply harmful, and perhaps deadly. As a slogan and general concept, Medicare for All polls well.” He’s concerned though, that when conservatives get to define the narrative with lies about what Medicare-for-All is it “can alienate a large chunk of potential supporters.”
• Elizabeth Warren
• Julian Castro
• Bill de Blasio
• Jay Inslee
• Cory Booker
• 5 did poorly
• Tulsi
• Tim Ryan
• Amy Klobuchar
• Beto
• Delaney
Yeah, sure. You know what was cool last night? Almost all the policy discussions were straight out of the Bernie Sanders playbook. He was setting the narrative. And that is exactly what the Democratic Party should be and should be talking about.

Oh what a surprise! Mr. Democraps Troll is an admirer of Reagan. The more he writes, the more it comes out.
A new hired democrap troll, I see!
Last night's "debate" is a perfect display as to why the democratic Party isn't worth voting for. Warren helped herself with her responses, while Castro, de Blasio, Inslee, and Booker only revealed how much MORE lame the remaining candidates are. I just wish that these "debates" were elimination rounds. Half of the first rounders would be going back to their day jobs - like Ida Jurie should be.
Tonight's round should be like a mixed martial arts fight. Every candidate on tonight/s bill was watching last night and taking notes. NBC will be shown up as having absolutely NO control over the proceedings. We already know they have no control over the microphones. I could have done better using a class of high school students.
Now if only we could talk NBC out of allowing Savannah Guthrie, Chunk Dudd, and mega-corporatist shill Lester Holt to again take the reins and ask the questions. They sucked. Maddow can be better than she was last night, and Dias-Balart didn't impress.
I just hope that Ida Jurie doesn't self-destruct when Biden shows how inept and incompetent his is. He's the only one on tonight's bill that I want to see gone immediately. I'll let the others fight for their positions on the stage.

Ida trolled a Bannonista tear it all down troll and the troll can't take it. She's hardly new. She's been commenting for years. If the troll wasn't so overly self absorbed, he'd know that. I doubt she has to be paid to comment and judging from some of her previous comments, I don't see her liking Biden. She's a Bernie fan and it is you who provide the context every day that can lead someone to think you'd rather see Reagan up there on the stage. Maybe you need to clean your spark plugs before you comment. Or, your butt plug.
Well said, Richard, but the Democraps bozo don't care. He's too busy nurturing his god complex. I for one appreciate your contribution of detailing his issues though! His poor family, if they haven't abandoned him physically, I bet they're on the way to abandoning him emotionally. I can't imagine living with a creature who thinks he invented everything including thought itself?
I love it when democraptic trolls pretend to know things. Langly is a special favorite, in that his snobbish disdain is quite laughable. And his suck-up buddy 3:48? I wonder why he doesn't use his prognostication skills for something profitable, like winning the lottery and putting himself beyond the reach or realpolitik.
I provide historical references and perspective. I flesh out reasoning for my positions. I have not been wrong about any of it since 1980 (or the reference point, Reagan) except for the pace of degradation. DWT has even adopted some of my references (anti-red, etc.).
Rich and his ilk have insults, some of them are even somewhat clever. But they never, EVER puke up anything like a hypothesis, much less a theory (theories are hypothesis that have been tested and pass); nothing helpful at all. Certainly they are devoid of ideas. But their limbic areas still work.
Is a brain that only functions in the limbic areas better than a potted ficus? it's a valid question. IMO, for the purposes of achieving political or social improvement, the answer is not just no, but hell no!
ficus, we're stupid!
