Midnight Meme Of The Day!

Hey, Republicans, ya want civility? New Yorkers like me have got your civility right here. Like these fake public service ad posters that are popping up around New York City that say you are trash, pretty mild actually. The time to be polite about what you are has long since passed. Look in the mirror, Repugs. Whether it cracks or not, you are still trash. There is no other reasonable explanation for why you continue to worship your dear leader. These fake ads are a reserved, sensible reaction to the current state of affairs. So, repugs, be glad we aren't inciting violence like your beloved orange fascist freak does on a nightly basis.
I know Republicans and typically wimpy Democrats like to call for civility but I don't buy into that at all. Personally, I think there's nothing wrong with a Republican that can't be fixed with a well-applied claw hammer or crowbar. I've felt that way for over 50 years so it's a measure of my civility and respect for the law that you have been spared and I am not in prison. I've lived in Republican towns in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Virginia. I've seen and heard a lifetime of your anti-Semitism, your racism, your misogyny, your homophobia, your ungodly greed, and all the rest. Now you have your dream dear leader who emboldens you. I can tune in to any New York right wing talk radio show and hear our mayor called a socialist as if it would be a bad thing if he really was, but, even worse is when you make nasty comments about him having a black son.
Republicans whining about the posters is rich. They're whining about the posters shown as tonight's meme but they sure don't whine about the rampant increase in swastika painting all over the New York area. I'm surprised that when we paint over them or sand blast them they aren't whining about "liberals assaulting our heritage" or some such idiocy.
Republicans want civility because it gives them room to operate. They take it as permission and invitation. They know their transgressions upon human decency will go unpunished. A key example: Trump calling people who chant "Jews will not replace us" in the streets of Charlottesville "very fine people" to the cheers of his whole party and GOP TV.
Democrats want civility out of some misplaced notion that if you're nice to people, even sociopaths and psychotics, they'll come around, respond in kind and be all nicey nicey. Neville Chamberlain tried that and we know how that worked out. You don't play nice with Nazis. The Brits played nice and all it got them was a nightly shower of bombs from the German Luftwaffe. Now nearly 80 years later, they've played nice and, in return, we're getting pipe bombs, an increase in KKK membership, African-Americans being murdered at supermarkets, and Jews being murdered as they worship. That's one inspiring dear leader you've got, Republicans.
The posters, by the way, are the creation of a local street artist named Winston Tseng. Although he has placed these nicely detailed posters (check out the cup, the bible, and the tattoo) on city trash receptacles, this is not a first for him. In the past, his art has taken on the city subway system, white nationalist broadcaster Sean Hannity, and the Catholic church. He has also used his art to comment on Colin Kaepernick, and done mainstream advertising work for firms such as Urban Outfitters and Adidas. My suggestion for the New York art community: Someone please develop some 2-foot high slip-on Donald Trump costumes for all city fire hydrants. Our dogs will love you for it, and so will we.

So sad this is where we are at, Noah.
Unfortunately I suspect we will soon have an illegal locked-and-loaded militia of right wingers blasting away en force with AR15s at some event. I fear Pittsburgh was just the beginning. Lots of these people are insane and enraged and ready to "go in." The Pentagon says they are stealing military equipment near the border and that is the threat, not the "caravan."
Fingers crossed for Tuesday. Will Americans come through? Will voting processes allow them to come through?
Without James Buchanan ordering the contents of armories in the North shipped South. the Confederacy wouldn't have had much weaponry available to begin attacking Federal facilities as secession began. Considering the fascist racist now in the Oval Office, what better way to begin delivering weaponry otherwise unattainable at gun shops than to send 15,000 combat troops to the border where "things could fall off the truck" and wind up in the hands of modern-day rebels?
