It's horrible to see this tweet and realize it's not real. The first thing that tells us it isn't a real Traitor Don tweet is that it doesn't have enough spelling mistakes. Also, if Donnie the Blowhard really was resigning, he'd issue something that included what a great job he'd done, that his resignation will be getting the highest TV ratings ever, that his approval ratings were the higher than Lincoln... and, of course, the Republican "No Collusion" mantra.
Still, one can dream and one can do whatever we can to move such a glorious day closer and closer. One weapon we do have is mass derision. If Comrade Donnie ever did resign, you'd see bigger celebrations than VE Day, and for similar reasons. Hopefully, the kissing couple kissing in the middle of Broadway will be a trans couple and republicans across the country will gag themselves into a coma.

I would not even want to see Trump resign. Pence would then likely pardon him. That would be just awful, much worse than Nixon's pardon. Trump should not be able to get away with what he has done and continues doing. The corrupt, treasonous, ignorant cretin mob boss who is blowing up the Constitution, destroying our government and conspiring with Russia should not be able to slide away from consequences for his many high crimes and felonies. His fans would still adore him and he would not let it all go and snivel back to Trump tower - he'd continue to be in the news kvetching about the unfairness of it all and inciting his base, which would still be there for him. In many ways the nightmare of Trump would go on.
Hone, Not to worry. I know he'd never resign. He'll probably have to be dragged out of the White House even if someone beats him in an election. I just like the idea of this meme going viral because of how much it would irritate and infuriate him and his co-conspirators. Pence? Well, Pence or whatever jackass succeeds him from either party can pardon him for federal crimes but not state ones. I wouldn't put it past a governor pardoning him, though. Regardless of whatever happens, he will be screaming about witches and rigging for the rest of his disgusting life and so will his supporters. Funny you mention him sniveling back to his tower. In the post I mention that, and a little more, in the post I sent in for tomorrow or the next day.
The wild card is the military. Who will they back?
If it hasn't already happened, the joint chiefs and top generals and admirals will be invited to meet with the kochs, adelsons and the CEOs of wall street etc. There they will come to some kind of understanding wrt some amount of honoraria.
The military will support these billionaires and corporations. Someone named Koch will probably be named chancellor.
How many others find the usage of a fucking social media meme (retweets) in this way just plain ominous?
We can't communicate any other way? We can't measure success, failure any other way?
*IS* there any lower that we can possibly go?
What was that movie that showed a dystopian society that judged (life and death) transgressors in exactly this way? That was a DYSTOPIAN society.
