What About All Those Great Keystone XL Pipeline Jobs Boehner Is Always Barking About?

>

You don't have to be a congressman in a borrowed lab coat to do the math... but our old friend, Raúl Grijalva (D-AZ) explains the dangers of Keystone XL and the tar sands it wants to pipe though the heart of America better than anyone else tonight (above). For example, have you heard Boehner running around like a chicken without a head squawking that the pipeline would create 250,000 jobs? That would be a nice shot in the arm for an economy that has been devastated by Republican Party economic and fiscal policies and by Republican Party obstruction to President Obama's attempts to make right with the GOP made so wrong. But Boehner is exaggerating a little a lot. He's off by around 247,450 jobs. In fact, Keystone XL would create around 2,500 temporary jobs and maybe 50 permanent ones. True, that's 50 more than Boehner has created in his whole worthless career... but at what cost? Glad you asked. Here's another video to watch. This is what the tar sands spill did in Arkansas:

So what's the Republican response? Smearing Congressman Grijalva, of course. What else? If you'd like to help Raúl get ready for his next reelection battle-- it's never too early.
