The radio stations and TV stations that have these people on the air should lose their broadcast licenses and their advertisers should be boycotted. Is our country on the brink of a fascist breakdown? After reading Dave Neiwert's alarming and incisive new book, The Eliminationists, I got worried. This morning a Kos diarist highlights Campaign For America's Future's Sara Robinson's report-- an analytic treatment of our current drift into what Robinson sees as a pre-fascist America on the brink of the abyss. Worth reading-- and Dave's book, each available at the two links directly above. And if you don't think Republican Party officials are encouraging-- and inciting-- this, you are sorely mistaken.

Whoa. Frank needs to be on the air more often, along with a few more like him, telling truth to this fear-and-hate mongering. Thanks Howie for posting this... I'll be sharing it on my FB and elsewhere.

Yes, our country is on the brink, with bankruptcy, massive unemployment, no limit on government spending, and an out of control president and congress with no way anyone or group of people can stop them from doing anything they want. The people can not just go along with the president and congress just because they have the majority, they can be wrong, and the checks and balances of our government have now been lost. We never voted for Cap & trade or Government health care when we voted for Obama, but now there is no way to stop them from passing this or any other legislation they want. No one man should be able to have this unrestricted power.
If the president keeps going down this path, yes there will be violence. It does not matter what Glenn or Rush say, the people will not sit quiet and let their government be run by a man that does not allow anyone to stop him from any change he can conceive. He has made more changes to the country in 6 months then any president has in 4 years. Sooner or later he will change something you hold dear, and you will see how powerless you are, and you will question why you ever gave this man this much power. Glenn and Rush are just the voices of the people that have not been heard yet, the ones that know that absolute power corrupts absolutely. The ones that know that a man with no power to be heard will find another way to speak. Yes, you are right, I do not see Obama being the open, transparent, and bipartisan president he said he would be, and the people are not going to let him not be. I only see this going very bad for all of us. If you take Glenn and Rush off the air even more will rise up on the Internet to take their place. That will just be a sign to the people of how this president will not allow them to speak.

There is no right or wrong when it comes to the direction of a country. If the majority voted for Obama then sit back and quit whining. If the policies of his administration are as bad as people claim then when the next election comes he will not be serving a second term and someone else will do what the people want. We have over 300 million people in this country. One term of presidency cannot change our country. We have too much historical momentum and anything that is done now can be undone later if it is in fact as bad as you claim.
I totally agree with anonymous. I couldn`t have said it better myself. My God people,don`t you know anything about history.Do you think that adolf hitler just showed up and took over peoples hearts and minds in one day. He had the backing of the press and no one figured him out until it was too late. Too late for a race of people,but then there are you that will call me a racist for saying that obama is a socialist. Read the words he has said in the past. If you don`t stand up now, then what will you tell your children, if he allows you to even have any.WAKE UP. Obama is living proof of the dumming down of Americas youth.
No man should have this power? Where were you when for 6 years George W. enjoyed a Republican majority in both houses and proceeded to do whatever he wanted. Such as going to war on a trumped up lie. The price tag for the unnecessary war in Iraq is approaching $2 trillion, not to mention the thousands of shattered American lives. Oh yeah, he also went on his huge Reaganomics spree of deregulation and giving big business everything they wanted which resulted in the current financial crisis. What did we do? The people of America woke up and voted these people out of office. What is different now is the extreme levels of hate, fear, and lies promulgated by the likes of Rush Limbaugh and Glenn Becks of the world. It is unprecedented since the time of McCarthyism in the 1950's. Back then, it was McCarthy who saw Communists in every closet. It is Limbaugh and Beck that are ranting like McCarthy and Adolf Hitler and not the other way around. They are the ones spreading the kind of hate and fear that leads to violence. Hopefully, Americans again awaken as they did to Hitler and McCarthy before this goes to far.
I have something in common with Rush and Glenn I'm scare too! I am scared of their loyal listeners. I can not grasp the process their brains must go through in order to receive the signal which tell them they are listening to something credible. Oh wait yes I can, I think you hear what you want to hear and listen to people who tell you what you want to hear. They confirm what has been decided my your own perceptions. I can only listen for 15 to 30 minutes at a time before they are no longer funny they start to sound stupid scary. I guess it just me but given they multiple news sources and opinions out there Rush or Glenn are not my first choice
bury them with the bush's and the roves in an afghanistan bunker guarded by a two tour marine wounded in action with very clear orders to detain till further notice.
