SCHIP's Final Passage

>

This afternoon the House had to reconcile its version of the Children’s Health Insurance Program Reauthorization Act of 2009 (SCHIP) with the one the Senate passed. So at 1:10pm they voted again. Knowing full well it would pass again, 133 Republican obstructionists and two ultra-reactionary "Democrats," Bobby Bright (AL) and Jim Marshall (GA), who hate the idea of poor African American children getting health care, voted against it. The bill, H. R. 2 passed by a lopsided margin- 290-135 and President Obama signed it. Some of the Republicans voting no included the very worst of the GOP reactionaries, vulnerable slime who should be targeted and beaten in 2010, like these creeps (each of whom has the winning margin from 2008 next to his or her name):

Michele Bachmann (R-MN- 46%)
Judy Biggert (R-IL- 53%)
Brian Bilbray (R-CA- 50% )
Henry Brown (R-SC- 52%)
Ken Calvert (R-CA- 52%)
Michael Coffman (R-CO- 60%)
John Culberson (R-TX- 56%)
David Dreier (R-CA- 53%)
Scott Garrett (R-NJ- 56%)
Darrell Issa (R-CA- 59%)
Steve King (R-IA- 60%)
John Kline (R-MN- 57%)
Blaine Luetkemeyer (R-MO- 50%)
Dan Lungren (R-CA- 50%)
Michael McCaul (R-TX- 54%)
Patrick McHenry (R-NC- 58%)
Dana Rohrabacher (R-CA- 53%)
Mean Jean Schmidt (R-OH- 45%)
John Shadegg (R-AZ- 54%)
Lee Terry (R-NE- 52%)
Joe Wilson (R-SC- 54%)

Most smokers earn less than $250,000 a year. So here we go, right off the bat Obama decides to tax the poor and middle class by raising cigarette tax. Why not raise tax on cell phones? That would not effect the poor and middle class as much.

Great. The slippery slope to socialism has been greased up nicely by the comrade-in-chief. "Republican obstructionists and two ultra-reactionary "Democrats"...who hate the idea of poor African American children getting health care." Uh, no, these 'obstructionists' hate the idea of socialism and soaking people who make good decisions for their money. Before long, calling us the 'Swedish-Style Socialist States of America' will be an accurate description.

Show me in the Constitution where it says those with jobs should support those without.
