MORMONS ARE OUT TO BUY THE PRESIDENCY-- WHERE DO YOU THINK FLIP FLOP MITT GOT ALL THAT DOUGH?

>

The same day his campaign pre-announced that he had hauled in the biggest bundle of cash of any of the Republicans running for the presidency, Mitt Romney was yucking it up about his membership in the shadowy Church of Latter Day Saints (the Mormon cult). Last weekend at the annual Gridiron dinner in Washington, Romney made a joke at Giuliani's and his own expense. Referring to Giuliani's promise to have his puppy-killing wife attend Cabinet meetings if he's elected, Romney said that "If I'd adopt the same policy, we're going to need a heck of a lot more chairs in the Cabinet room." Ho ho. Two of his standard lines are that he's the only Republican running who's only had one wife, referring to the scandalous multiple divorces and adulterous affairs by "family values" hypocrites like Newt Gingrich, crossdresser Rudy Giuliani, and John McCain; and the coyly self-deprecating "I have to admit that as a Mormon, I believe that marriage should be between a man and a woman... and a woman... and a woman."

While he's got 'em rolling in the aisles-- and while Rove's Mormon Mafia has been subverting the U.S. government-- Romney, the least well-known of all the top GOP candidates, managed to collect the most money of any of them. He brought in $20.6 million (although almost $2.5 came from himself) with the crossdresser in second place with $15 million and old John McCain with $12.5 million; the also-rans, Brownback, Tancredo and Huckabee averaged around a million each and are not considered viable candidates). So where did all that loot come from?

The Mormon's are more like a fraternal self-help organization than a Christian religion and they are constantly pushing each other forward, favoring other members of the sect at all times. Now they see the White House in their sites and they are going all-out to make sure Romney wins the big prize. I've met die-hard Christian-right Republicans who said they would vote for Hillary before they would ever support Romney but among Mormons... some critics think this is what they've been waiting for. And Mormons gave to Romney in gigantically disproportionate numbers. There are many extremely highly placed members of the Mormon cult in very high places-- with a lot of money to throw around. Utah's immensely rich Marriott family, for example-- the ones who started and run the hotel chain-- have been big Romney contributors, as is billionaire Utah Governor Jon Huntsman whose family made its fortune manufacturing plastics. The Marriotts give to mostly to Republicans and to Mormons; ditto for Huntsman.

Mormons give overwhelmingly to Republicans but they also give to Democrats who are Mormon. Take Nolan Archibald, a good example. The CEO of Black & Decker, his political contributions have included the NRSC, Gordon Smith (OR), Orrin Hatch (UT), Harry Reid (NV), and, of course, Romney. All but Reid are Republicans, but all are Mormons. M. Anthony Burns, ex-CEO of Ryder gives big money to right wingers and to the GOP institutionally. And to Mormons. David Neeleman, the CEO of JetBlue, gives to politicians, like Joe Lieberman, in a position to help his company-- and to Mormons. He has a diverse list of candidates that he and his wife support but the names that come up again and again are, regardless of party, Mormons-- from Orrin Hatch to Harry Reid to Gordon Smith. Kevin Rollins, former CEO of Dell gives to Republicans and reactionary Democrats (like the Blue Dog PAC, Jim Cooper and Chet Edwards)-- and to Mormons, including, of course, Romney. And so it goes.

There are an awful lot of Mormons in office, even outside of Utah, and they tend to be very right wing and very supportive of each other, such as Mike Crapo (R-ID), John Doolittle (R-CA), Jim Gibbons (R-NV), Jeff Flake (R-AZ), Waller Herger (R-CA), Gordon Smith (R-OR), Buck McKeon (R-CA), Mike Simpson (R-ID). Almost everyone one of them is either up to his eyeballs in corruption or extremist politics-- or both. But one thing that unites almost all Mormons is a willingness to do whatever they can to get Romney into the White House. Now, don't get me wrong; there are also normal people who are Mormons, from Arthur Kane of the New York Dolls and Brenaden Steineckert of Rancid to Gladys Knight, Butch Cassidy and Bowie's legendary guitar player Mick Ronson.

Today's Deseret Morning News, in a rather understated way, calls Utah a "very important" source of cash for Romney's campaign-- among the top 10 states. If it were the #1 or #2 state, that could also be called "among the top 10." Needless to say, Utah is not among the top 10 top 20 of any other campaign's sources of contributions. Romney not only collects big campaign contributions from the wealthy Mormons who have risen to the top of the heap, but he's out on the hustings wherever there is a significant population of Mormons, in places where few other candidates have bothered to visit.

UPDATE: THE TROUBLE

While I've been looking into Rove's Mormom Mafia story and then my theory about a Mormon "plot" to buy the White House, I've had counselling for several of my blogging colleagues, not the least of whom was a very understated Taylor Marsh. Her national Security blog has been having its own serious Mormon problems and until today she was unable to speak out. Today she did. If you want to know about the insidious and very dangerous nature of the Mormons, click that link and sick back and enjoy.

MORE DATA IS IN-- WEALTHY MORMONS ARE TRYING TO BUY THE WHITE HOUSE FOR ROMNEY

Tomorrow's NY Times has been looking through the emerging story and the picture that is emerging is of a concerted effort for Romney and other stinking rich Mormons to buy the presidency for one of their own. "Mr. Romney turned in part to connections in the tight-knit world of wealthy fellow members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Of the roughly 450 people who have given the $5,000 maximum allowed annually to his federal political action committee, about a quarter are from Utah, the center of the Mormon church. And of his top eight donors, four-- J. Willard Marriott Jr. and his brother, Richard Marriott, the hotel executives; Jon M. Huntsman Sr., the plastics mogul; and L. E. Simmons, the software chief executive--are Mormons who each gave more than $100,000, according to data compiled by the National Institute on Money in State Politics."

Gladys Knight is a Mormon? No way! Her daddy was a Preacher in Detroit. Please you're killing me. Plus, they are not too accepting of black folk unless they show some athletic ability for BUY. What?

I don't think the Pips joined the cult, just Gladys. Here, check this out: "Gladys Knight (famed singer who sang for many years at the head of "Gladys Knight and the Pips") was raised as a Baptist but as an adult she temporarily joined the Church of God in Christ. She later became a convert to and devout member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints." She joined the cult in 1997 and she directs a Mormon choir, Saints United Voices (SUV) which won a Grammy for One Voice. I don't know if she supports Romney or not.

be carefull where this hate speach leads A lot of these same aurguments where used in the 1800's to drive thousands of mormons from their homes in the dead of winter, kill and rape the woman and steal their land all in the name of political rightness and preventing the mormons from turning a slave state into a free state with their political block.

was'nt that back when smith was running for president. By the way they are determined to break down the federal government and to replace it with a theocracy run by their "prophet". Pay backs for the death of joseph smith aka con man.

if there is anything worse then a fundamentalist christian who believes the bible is literal, its a mormon who thinks john smith actually talked to the angel moroni (notice they name, they should be called Morons!). seriously, we need to eradicate fundamentalist religion in this country in general. they are going to want to outlaw caffeine and alcohol.

Oh Bullshit. Mormons were driven from Missouri after their neighbors became understandably alarmed about their burning the presses of the Nauvoo Expositor, a newspaper started by two of Joseph Smith's fellow 'prophets' after they became disillusioned by Smith's secret polygamy - and the fact that he attempted to 'seal' their wives and daughters to him while they were off on missions.

Smith also prophesized about 'the one mighty and strong' (himself) who would rise up, take leadership of the country, and save the constitution (for Mormons, not anybody else). Even in the earliest days of Mormondom, Smith understood the value of persecution complexes to enhance the strength of an isolated cult.

I live in rural Southern Utah, and Mormons here are falling all over Romney because of prophecy, and because they're being told to do so from the pulpit. Period.

There are a ton of fine, upstanding Mormons, but institutionally the LDS Church is just a big, corrupt, right-wing pyramid scheme....with, like most cults and 'chosen religions' an institutionalized persecution complex. Most Mormons conveniently forget how Brigham Young assassinated dissenters and apostates for decades, particularly during the Mormon Reformation (talibanization) of 1850.

But regardless of doctrine and history, the last thing this country needs is another 'fundamentalist' right-wing politician. Especially one that's been Church-groomed for the presidency ever since the Olympics scandal.

You guys should try doing some research before making all these assumptions about the mormon church. And i don't mean reading up on anti-LDS books--which are all pretty much made up of the personal opinion of the writer. Try going to the authentic church website (www.LDS.org)and get some facts. You'd be surprised to find that a)its not a cult, its RELIGION, and B) Joseph Smith never talked about taking over the country. The Mormon Church has no intention of taking over the country; the member who choose to support Romney are likely doing so because they support and identify his morals and ethics; I think and hope most americans choose according to their personal standards when it comes to selecting their candidate to run our country.

True, the Mormons were run out of New England, but for good reason. They were an insular cult run by a psychotic megalomaniac con-artist extraordinaire (Joseph Smith). And don't forget all the massacres that the Mormons have dealt out on villages in the west in the last 150 years. The Mormon church is ideologically equivalent to the most conservative Evangelical sect you can possibly imagine, if not worse. They are simply more "low-key" about their hatred and fascism. In any case, a nomination for Romney would guarantee that the Republicans would lose the 2008 Presidential Election.

Gotta agree with Kid Feral!! Don't underestimate the Mormon Mafia or the religious machine of the Mormon Church. They have a phophecy that says the "US government will hang by a thread" and that only a Mormon will save the country. How do I know? I heard it in church sacrement meeting the whole time I was growing up. Thank God I gave the church up many years ago and anyone who supports the mormons should rethink their reasons!!!! I kid you not, this is not hate speech, but reality!! The best thing you can do is keep the mormons from the presidency.

At 1:13 PM, Anonymous Anonymous said...

By the way, the mormons once preached that the only way a black person could get to heaven was to be a slave! Ask a mormon to describe their temple wedding and watch them turn pale and change the subject! Ask them what their temple name is and what blood atonement is. Cult? Probably. Whoever posted about getting to know the mormons by visiting LDS.com is just fanning the smoke screen. Separation of church and state with Romney would be impossible. He's already visited the Prophet of the Mormon church to get the church blessing on his running for president.

OK, I'm a rational person. I don't care what superstitions or fairy tales others believe, but I absolutely refuse to take seriously, or to treat seriously, or not to openly mock ANYONE who thinks his underwear is special.

Yep! Special underwear. Sacred underwear, even. Mitt wears it. So do other high Moron mucky-mucks and Noble Lumpkins and Exalted HooptyDoos.

America, would you REALLY trust this nation, and your children's future, to a guy who thinks God cares what underwear he puts on? Would you? WOULD YOU?

If so, then this nation truly IS hanging by a thread, and that thread is elastic and leads to a tag that says "BVD."

At 5:59 PM, Anonymous Anonymous said...

11:24 AM doesn't know their LDS church history. The truth is posted in the less flattering comments listed here. Also, find out what the "secret" markings are on the underwear. You should see all the young LDS temple brides trying to hide it under their tight jeans and t-shirts. It's laughable and somewhat sad to see sheeple caught up in such ridiculous teachings.

Is it a good idea to have Romney run the country? Just ask some of the 2002 Olympic venue workers who witnessed his arrogance and temper tantums. No, he is a prime example of two-faced, kool-aid swillin', mormon republicanism at it's best. Did I mention arrogance?

Is Mitt's denomination a "Cult"? Protestants and Catholics subscribe to the Nicene creed, which was initiated by the Emperor Constantine in the Fourth Century to rid Scriptures of the Apocrypha, which made reference to the oral traditions of Jewish and early Christian temple worship.

First Century Christian churches, in fact, continued the Jewish temple worship traditions:
1) Baptism of youth (not infants) by immersion by the father of the family
2) Lay clergy
3) Anointing with holy oil after baptism
4) Then clothing in white clothing

Just check with the Israeli Museum to verify. And read Exodus Ch 29 for Aaron and his sons” ordinances. Jewish Temple practices were continued by Christians prior to Constantine”s corruption (see St. Cyril of Jerusalem (315-386) Lecture XXI). Early Christians were persecuted for keeping their practices sacred, and not allowing non-Christians to witness them

A literal reading of the New Testament points to God and Jesus Christ being separate beings, united in purpose. To whom was Jesus praying in Gethsemane, and to whom was he speaking on the Mount of Transfiguration?

The Nicene Creed”s definition of the Trinity was influenced by scribes translating the Greek manuscripts into Latin. The scribes embellished on a passage explaining the Trinity, which is the Catholic and Protestant belief that God is Father, Son and Holy Spirit. The oldest versions of the epistle of 1 John, read: "There are three that bear witness: the Spirit, the water and the blood and these three are one."
Scribes later added "the Father, the Word and the Spirit," and it remained in the epistle when it was translated into English for the King James Version, according to Dr. Bart Ehrman, Chairman of the Religion Department at UNC- Chapel Hill.

Members of the Church of Jesus Christ (LDS) have concern for their ancestors” spiritual welfare, so they practice proxy baptism. (1 Corinthians 15:29 & Malachi 4:5-6).

Only members of the Church of Jesus Christ (LDS) continue these practices of First Century Christians. But Mormons don”t term Catholics and Protestants “non-Christian”. The dictionary definition of a Christian is “of, pertaining to, believing in, or belonging to a religion based on the teachings of Jesus Christ”:. All of the above denominations are followers of Christ, and consider him the Messiah foretold in the Old Testament.

It”s important to understand the difference between Reformation and Restoration when we consider who might be the more authentic Christian. If Mitt Romney is a member of a denomination which embraces early Christian theology, he is likely more “Christian” than his detractors.

Practicing christians, or not, the point is that no church should be allowed to buy the presidency via a faithful member. Theocracy for government is never a good idea. Does the middle east come to mind? The mormons will take advantage at every possible turn to promote their brand of rightiousness. Try living in Utah for awhile with a big box church on every corner. Try having the church regulate your drinking laws because of their fear of alcohol, or when you can play sports because of their Family Home Evenings. Try listening to the insidious connotations in the news casts on the TV station owned by the church. Haven't we (the USA) learned about mixing religion and politics? Why don't other super powers have this problem? A little thinking is required here.

I lived in Colorado..just about 20 miles from the Utah border most of my life..trust me you do not want a Mormon Cult Leader in the White House...their cult is insidious..if you are not a Mormon and don't pay "tithings" to the "Church" (used to be 10% to 15%, of your yearly income, maybe more now) you will be treated worse than a pile of dog poop

It appears that we should take heed of the posts of folks who actually know of and have had experience with the LDS church. It's one thing to pontificate on the definition of christianity and another to describe the reality of the LDS church. You do not want a mormon as president.

You act as though people with money have never contributed to a candidate whom they wish to win. Many of those same Mormons contributing to Romney have probably contributed to other campaigns which they felt best represented their ideals. And I'm sure rich liberals are trying to "buy the White House" as well.

A lot has been said here... some of which is well thought out... other comments lack real "support" and portray hate, fear, and a general misunderstanding. As far as I know, every president in our great country's history was a member of one church or another. So why is it that when a "Mormon" runs for president he, or his campaign, is accused of the opposite to "seperation of church and state". That's ridiculous !!!! Mitt Romney goes to church, just like George Bush does, and John Kerry, and Hilary Clinton... and I am sure that "common members" of their congrgations donated funds and support to each of their individual campaigns. So why is Mitt Romney's faith in discussion here? The answer is FEAR! Some People are afraid of the LDS members because too many false rumors and fabricated FEARS have been adopted by the weak minded and easily persuaded folks who generate hate and lies about the LDS faith. The LDS church is NOT a cult. Now lets move on, cast some votes, and try our very best to keep politics and our right to religious freedoms SEPERATE. If you scream "cult", you should try screaming "RELIGIOUS FREEDOM" instead (it's more American) ... Why have so many Americans forgotten how and why this great country was founded? This country found its true origin in "persuit of religious and taxation freedom". Our ancestors are ashamed to read such horrible views of these few "fearful and weak-minded citizens" of taday. Our ancestors bled and died so that we, as Americans, can live in a religious-free society... to worship how we see fit, and from up above they are witnessing these HATE and FEAR statements with total disgust. Please, if you hate Mormons, or the LDS faith, or the Jews, or the Pentacostals, or the Baptists, or the Catholics, or the Muslims, or the Athiests... just leave it to yourself. These good, religions people are ALLOWED to be in this country, to worship how they choose, and to partake of our election process just as much as the "HATERS" out there that have so much fear in their hearts. Please remember one thing... FEAR IS NOT TRUTH !!!!

Lay off. Grow up and Get a life. Vote for your favorite candidate and stop the hate talk. Speak your "hate talk" with the power to cast your vote, and try not to aimlessly run your ignorant mouths. Your hate talk sets a bad example to our children, our communities, and the rest of the world.

God bless our candidates, God bless America, and God bless this World.

Peace

iflpyI live in Vermont, is that important, for Moronism it is, for this whole farce started here. In fact the man who realy wrote the Moron Bible was Oliver Cowdry, who was from Wells Vermont. Looking for Gold with witch hazel sticks, started in Middletown Springs Vermont. Remember it wasn't Joesph Smith Jr. It was his Father, who played this game. There is a book out called the Vermont Gazette written in 1865, which gives the history of their little game, The Father was thrown in Jail in Vermont. But both Joesph Smith JR. and Bringom Young were both Born in Vermont, and when they left, Vermont said good riddince! But being a Student of History, We always ask, How did it come to be! Where did all this non-sense come from! First off Joesph Smith JR. didn't make it past the 4th grade, as he got sick, and stayed out of school. Comes down to this Moronism all started from here in Vermont, in a town 11 miles from me. Middletown Springs, and it was all one Big Con game!

STOP PROXY BAPTISM OF DECEASED JEWS! As far as your quote:
Members of the Church of Jesus Christ (LDS) have concern for their ancestors” spiritual welfare, so they practice proxy baptism. (1 Corinthians 15:29 & Malachi 4:5-6).
Since you are ignorant of your ancestors & origin of the real Hebrews & their Torah, I've
provided the following for your education:
You Mormons are not ancestors of the Jews. Jews are descendents of Abraham. Jews do not recognize Jesus as their saviour. Jews have a direct relationship with
G-d. Jews don't have an intermediary such as Jesus, we have only 1 G-d. Jews don't want you to baptize them under your religion & Jesus. You have no right to conduct proxy baptism for Jewish deceased.
Jews do not recognize Mormons as having anything to do with Moses Law(TORAH).
We don't know who Moroni is.
Allow the Jews to rest in peace.
Forced Conversion & Desecration of Jewish dead is a serious offense.
If you want respect for Mormons respect other religions.

If Mitt gets to the white house he will have Gordon and his twelve merry men running the country. And for those who do not think lds is not a cult please do your homework. It was thought up by a know con artist who prayed on the poor and stupid. No wonder he was killed. The cult should be forced to close its doors once and forall and let these people make their own choices instead of the cult doing it for them.

Selling the presidency might be what we have to do to pay off the national debt. I think we should hold out for more money than Mitt is offering, though.

And it baffles me how anybody who is not already a true believer can learn about the Mormon church and NOT see hatred, ignorance, fear, and bigotry running deep, broad, wide, and long through the fundamental principles, the canonical writings, and the documented history (and by this I don't mean Mormon mythology, but that history that is largely agreed on by uninvolved scholars).

Hey Morons, up until the 60's the covenant to build up the Kingdom of God that you make in the temple included destroying the United States for having killed Joseph and Hyrum. Ask your grandpa! Read the lds.org for "facts"! that is SO laughable. Mormons=liars/organized robbers/secret combinations.

Ha ha ha, wow it's amazing how many of you are so ignorant. Ignorance equals stupidity. You are not getting answers from valid sources.
I'm sure there are quite a few of you were raised by your parents to "hate the mormons".
Oh by the way, the mormon mafia does not exist. You are all blinded by your own stupidity. And it makes me laugh. I bet you are some of the people that go out and protest near temple grounds about how the mormons voted against gay marriage. I'll tell you something, mormons weren't the only ones to vote against gay marriage. Several other religions did too, but I find if funny how only the mormons were protested against. Mormons are harmless. Perhaps some of you should try to take all the extra time you have to blog about how much you hate mormon people and go join a mormon church meeting, if you go to a meeting, it may clear up some of your misconseptions about what they do and teach.

I also find it funny as to how you could walk into a catholic book store and find a shelf full of anti mormon books, but when you walk into a mormon book store, you will not find any anit religious books. It's funny to see how people attack things they don't know anything about. If you only know one side to the subject, your closing the door to many opportunites. So I encourage some of you to attend a church meeting with an open mind and see what they teach.
