THE RACE FOR THE WHITE HOUSE AND TRANSVESTITISM: RIGHTISTS LOOK MORE CLOSELY AT RUDY GIULIANI

>

Today's New York Post publishes one of the dozens of photos of Rudy Giuliani in drag-- not just wearing a died mop on his head, but dressed and made up to the tune of thousands of dollars. And the Post asks the question out loud: will the uptight and homophobic GOP base vote for a serial crossdresser... for President?

And it isn't like he's a stalwart conservative who likes to dress in woman's clothes. By the far right's bizarre standards he's a liberal who likes to dress up in women's clothes!
A whisper campaign targeting the front-running GOP White House contender's cross-dressing stunts at gala political dinners in New York and on "Saturday Night Live" was the hot topic among right-leaning activists.
"A lot of people are talking about it. It's not respectable. They use it as a way to highlight all of his other shortcomings," Las Vegas conservative Bruce Feher told the Post.
Giuliani, who addressed the key gathering yesterday, may top national GOP presidential polls, but conservatives already uneasy with Giuliani's positions on social issues were latching on to his gags as a drag queen.

As I've been saying for months, this non-secret is known by some-- Giuliani hardly hid it-- but it isn't known, not yet anyway, by the primitivist low information types who tend to vote in GOP primaries. At CPAC yesterday there was a lot of discussion that even the Devil himself (Bill Clinton) wasn't a drag queen. The Post quotes a wingnut from Florida-- home of Republican congressional child molester Mark Foley (now a full-time transvestite who has taken on the name Cynthia)-- asking "Can you think of any president-- even Clinton-- or another candidate wearing a dress on several occasions? It's unpresidential. It's not a secret, but a lot of people don't know about it, and it's only going to get more attention. It lends credence to the belief that he's not conservative."

The CPAC crowd liked Rudy's hum drum tough-on-terrorism speech yesterday. They are a desperate and pathetic group of losers led now by the political equivalent of Paris Hilton. But a lot of right-wing Republican activists are very distrustful of Giuliani. Some circulated newspaper clips showing his record of appointing judges much further to the left than Bill Clinton ever appointed.

Conservatives feel trapped between 3 moderates-- Rudy McRomney-- and are splintering. In their hearts they fear there is no credible conservative candidate running. Meanwhile Democrats are just sitting back praying that they force the GOP to turn to someone truly repulsive to the American political center, an unattractive dead-end extremist like Newt Gingrich or, better yet, someone with the last name Bush.

NOT EVEN J.C. WATTS WANTS RUDY McROMNEY TO BE PRESIDENT

As I've been saying all along, there is no Republican running for President that even Republicans want. And last week, according to Newsweek, Oklahoma ex-GOP Congressman J.C. Watts said he favors Democrat Bill Richardson for president.
