I'VE GOT A POLL FOR YOU
>
Another day, another
Ethics/honesty- 37% associate the issue with Democrats and 25% with the Republicans.
High spending- 46% think the Republicans are high spenders and only 37% think Dems are.
Fiscal responsibility- 41% associate this with Democrats and 36% with Republicans.
Accountability to taxpayers- 43% say this is a Democratic attribute and 32% think it's a GOP one.
Spends money on right priorities- 46% say Dems; 32% says Republicans.
"Represents people like you"- 49% say Dems and 35% say Republicans.
This stuff has been the heart of the Republican appeal for decades and the basis for all their propaganda. Without it what's left? Bigotry and Hatred. They might as well run Ann Coulter and Hannity. And this stuff is all backed up by another question, asking which party they would prefer to tackle each problem that faces the country. More band music for Republican ears:
Taxes- 44% prefer Democrats and 41% prefer Republicans.
Spending- 46% say Dems and 33% say Repugs.
Dealing with high costs/financial pressures on people- 51% Dem and 30% Repug.
Meanwhile a new Gallup poll shows fewer and fewer people think the U.S. will win the war in Iraq. "Only 28% say the United States will probably or definitely win the war, down from 35% in December and the lowest since the question was first asked in September 2005. The share of those surveyed calling the war a mistake, 59%, is up from 56% last month and the highest since September 2005."
Other findings:
58% want the U.S. to bring the troops home either immediately or within 12 months tops.
77% want our troops home if Iraq’s leaders fail to meet promises to reduce violence there.
76% favor Murtha's plan to have troops stay in the U.S. for at least a year before being redeployed.
60% now favor a timetable for withdrawing all U.S. forces.
And Zogby's latest is even worse news for the Republicans. Just when they thought 32% was the floor for Bush's approval rating, he hit a new all-time low, 30% approval and 69% disapproval. His Iraq ratings are even worse; only 23% approve of how the Mr. "I'm the Commander in Chief" is handling that.
The Republican Party has exactly one shot at winning in 2008. But even GOP front Diebold is thinking about bailing from electronic vote counting.

Poll should ask how many of us are just ready to give up on this government. I don't expect that this government can do anything right; I don't expect that anything will be done to correct the situation in either the immediate future or the visible future. I expect that if I don't have good survival instincts that I will probably perish because this government could give a damn.
"Only 28% say the United States will probably or definitely win the war, down from 35% in December and the lowest since the question was first asked in September 2005"
Why wasn't this question asked before King George II Lied us into this nightmare?
