KATHY AUGUSTINE, NEVADA WINGNUT, CANDIDATE FOR TREASURER, DIES, PROBABLY MURDERED

Last November I did a small story about what a loon Nevada's GOP Controller Kathy Augustine is was. The State Assembly had unanimously impeached her and both Governor Guinn and Senator Ensign asked her to resign. She refused and she was in the middle of a race for State Treasurer. Considered a far right extremist, a racist and an anti-semite, Augustine married her current husband, Chaz Higgs, a month after her second husband died (while being cared for by Higgs, who was a nurse). The second husband died of an apparent stroke and Augustine died of an apparent heart attack, although Reno Police are suspicious. Higgs seems to have tried to either commit suicide or make people think he tried to commit suicide. Hopefully Dangle is on the case.

No one much cared for crooked, right-wing nut case Kathy Augustine when she was alive but now that she's probably been murdered by her husband-- who conspired with her to murder her first husband long ago-- the whole state of Nevada is sitting around with baited breath. "The death of state controller Kathy Augustine, a 50-year-old Republican candidate for state treasurer who was the only Nevada state elected official ever to be impeached and convicted, is the talk of Nevada. Reno police, and a lot of curious bystanders, are waiting for autopsy results to see whether this turns into a full-blown murder mystery."
