Not so much an answer as a clue concerning whether it's possible to hear Howie's appearance with David Bender on Politically Direct

Politically Direct'>Politically Direct'>Politically Direct'>Politically Direct'>>Politically Direct'>

In a comment below, a reader asked whether it's possible to stream, or podcast, or something, Howie's Politically Direct appearance this weekend—a show that also included a terrific interview with John Dean, which got into the authoritarian mindset that he argues in his new book, Conservatives Without Conscience (an intentional play on the late Sen. Barry Goldwater's famous Conscience of a Conservative), is at the root of present-day, conscienceless conservatism.

Based on a partially completed reconnaissance expedition to the Air America Radio website, the answer seems to be: Uh, I think so, maybe, and possibly even without signing up for the "premium" service. Unfortunately, along about then I had such a headache that I had to abort the mission.

The place to look is:

If you figure it out, let us know. Or not. (Where the hell is the damned aspirin?)

UPDATE: YES, IT'S JUST A CLICK AWAY

The stream is right here as an mp3 download. First half is John Dean and the second half is Howie.

I looked in that spot Sunday and couldn't find any way to listen to an archived version of the show. I don't think one actually exists.

Thanks for the link to the show which I missed due to family obligations. I had the opportunity to listen to it this afternoon.
The great thing about listening to Howie is that I almost always agree with him and agree strongly. Loved the comments about Lieberman, Howard Dean and his A+ and particularly and most especially the scourge of loser Democratic 'consultants' and operatives I've come to know *so well* over the past 3 years or so.
Seriously, I would not be willing share a meal with some of those folks much less help pay their salaries. They should all be subjected to an exhaustive round of psychological testing before being hired and criminal background checks with especial emphasis on TRO's and anything that points to problems with domestic violence or a substance abuse problems. seriously.
