JELLO BIAFRA EXPLAINS NET NEUTRALITY

>

Not everyone understands the issues around net neutrality-- even though SaveTheInternet.com has every in and every out anyone could possibly want to ever see on the subject. But today my friend Scott sent me an mp3 of Jello Biafra explaining it-- and explaining what can be done to help. If you have a minute, click here and listen to what the fuss is all about.

The big battle's going to be in the Senate. So far these are the people who have signed on to protect the free Internet:

Barbara Boxer (D-CA)
Russ Feingold (D-WI)
Harry Reid (D-NV)
Hillary Clinton (D-NY)
John Kerry (D-MA)
Barack Obama (D-IL)
Patrick Leahy (D-VT)
Dianne Feinstein (D-CA)
Olympia Snowe (R-ME)
Ron Wyden (D-OR)
John Rockefeller (D-WV)
Bill Nelson (D-FL)
Ben Nelson (D-NE)-- even he occasionally votes the right way!
Mark Pryor (D-AR)
Evan Bayh (D-IL)
Maria Cantwell (D-WA)
Byron Dorgan (D-ND)
Daniel Inouye (D-HI)
Chris Dodd (D-CT)
Frank Lautenberg (D-NJ)

Now who are the corporate whores who want to fatten their campaign funds with Big Business bribes while making us pay for Internet service? Most of the corporate rubber stamps are laying low in the bushes and waffling back and forth (Joe Lieberman, Arlen Specter, Mark Dayton, Joe Biden) but the ones who have come out loudly and strongly against net neutrality are exactly the reactionary crooks and thieves (no connection to John Amato) you would expect:

George Felix Allen (R-DudeRanch)
Jim DeMint (R-SC)
Trent Lott (R-MS)
Ted Stevens (R-AK)
John Ensign (R-NV)
Kay Bailey Hutchison (R-TX)
Conrad Burns (R-MT)
Sam Brownback (R-KS)
Gordon Smith (R-OR)
John Sununu (unelected R-NH)
David Vitter (R-LA)

The rest haven't announced yet. Jello has a suggestion of how you can make your wishes known to these public servants who work for you.
