How come when fake-Christian death-loons create a "culture of life," innocent men, women and children all over the world have to suffer and die?

I desire to associate myself with everything Howie has to say (below) about the U.S. government's responsibility for inflicting murder and torture upon peoples who, well, didn't ask to be murdered or tortured.
The only thing more obvious and more scandalous than our official guilt is the fact that, just as Howie's friend Roland says, pretty much nobody in this country cares.
The one thing I would like to add is that this is the sort of thing that makes me choke every time one of those immoral-to-the-bone fake-Christian scumbags—from the president on down (it's shocking to think that you can get lower than the president, but I believe our cadre of fake-Christian megalomaniacs has managed it)—opens his or her lie-hole to announce that he or she believes in a "culture of life."
I think Howie has gotten the chain of accountability exactly right. After all, these people (and I use the term in its broadest possible scientific sense, covering life forms that can be verified genetically as belonging to the species homo sapiens) who with such bald and contemptuous dishonesty invoke the sanctity of "our troops" as cover for their international campaigns of conquest and war profiteering are the very same people who deploy their teams of legal whores to sanctify torture through the zestful splitting of legal hairs normally used for such lofty policy initiatives as gutting environmental regulations or legitimizing techniques of corporate fraud.
Gee, I guess you could sum it all up—especially if you happen to be Fox Nooze—by saying I'm a "Bush-basher."
AFTERTHOUGHT: WHERE IS THE DEATH-LOONS' FAVORITE POPE WHEN WE COULD ACTUALLY USE HIM?
It occurs to me that the Christian death-loons have one thing to be grateful for: Their soon-to-be-sainted favorite pope has gone to that infallible papal throne in the beyond. Sorry, Peggy Noonan, but I was never much won over by John Paul II's "saintliness," since it never covered over the bedrock of intolerance and hatred that was such an important part of the foundation of his "spiritual" beliefs.
But unlike most of our Christian death-loons, the guy wasn't totally unprincipled. And my guess is that, especially in his more vigorous years, he would have had something to say about the American reign of death and destruction.

The frustrating and yet, consistent thing about the Catholic church is the right to life issue: no abortion (unless mother's life is endangered), no death penalty, fair wage initiatives, rights of the worker social justice programs, universal healthcare. Read the letters of the American Bishops (available online)--it might surprise you how 'socialist' leaning they are.
Though, dying JP2, did issue statements against the Invasion of Iraq--it didn't meet the criteria for a 'just war'. Every peace demonstration I have attended in the last 3 yrs has been organised by the local RC archdiocese and the Episcopal Union cathedrals.
How American conservatives managed to twist the flaccid media is the real sin.
All things considered, though far from perfect, more progressive than you might expect.
You should know by now, that the media delivers soundbites, not the full story.
