IS PAT ROBERTSON A VENAL RIGHT-WING POLITICAL HACK OR JUST A DELUSIONAL PSYCHOTIC ? WATCH THE VIDEO AND JUDGE FOR YOURSELF

>

Among all the other bit and pieces of great news about yesterday's election results was a story about a small town in PA defeating the 8 right-wing loons who were trying to drag the Dover school system back to pre-Renaissance times. Not everyone was as overjoyed as we were, apparently. Dangerous tax-dodger, hate-monger and anti-Christ, Pat Robertson went on a tear on his bigoted tv show today, the 700 Club.

The crazed, vicious fake-preacher warned the people of Dover that God might forsake the town because of the vote. (Like Pat Robertson has even a clue about God or Jesus Christ!) "I'd like to say to the good citizens of Dover. If there is a disaster in your area, don't turn to God, you just rejected Him from your city. And don't wonder why He hasn't helped you when problems begin, if they begin. I'm not saying they will, but if they do, just remember, you just voted God out of your city. And if that's the case, don't ask for His help because he might not be there."

You think I'm making this crazy shit up? Watch the video of this madman yourself. And while you watch it, keep in mind that BushCo shovels hundreds of millions of our taxpayer dollars into this maniac's coffers in return for year-round support for the Republican propaganda and hate machine.

FRIDAY MORNING UPDATE: THE EXPLANATION FOR WHY BUSH STILL HAS AN APPROVAL RATING OF OVER 10%

When I see in poll after poll after poll that Bush, the most catastrophically venal and incompetent "president" in the history of our Republic, never goes below 30% in opinion polls, I shake my head and say to myself, "Self, who the hell and these people and what is wrong with them?"

Today AOL had a poll that may shed some light on where they are and who they are. As part of front page coverage of Pat Robertson's latest lunacy, the poll asks "How seriously do you listen to what Pat Robertson has to say?. The results:

Not at all 74%
Very 13%
Somewhat 13%

Now look at that 26%. These are very ill individuals, perhaps even dangerous to people around them and to themselves. And I postulate that, aside from the small percentage of people who actually benefit from Republican economic and tax policies, these loons are the reason Bush's approval ratings don't sink into single digits.
