Midnight Meme Of The Day!
by Noah For Thanksgiving I will make a wish: I hope that someday we will have a president who is pro-Americans and pro-America again, instead of this THING.
Marx (Karl, not Groucho) wrote in the XVIIIth Brumaire of Louis Napoleon: "Hegel remarks somewhere that all great world-historic facts and personages appear, so to speak, twice. He forgot to add: the first time as tragedy, the second time as farce."
He could not have foreseen Donald Trump, wrapping tragedy and farce together in himself.
gotta agree with 6:00. The irony gene seems to be utterly lacking in the American genome.
That and the ability to discern the difference between that which will cause misery from that which will cause an orgasm.
And I think that much of Marx and Hegel's thinking was informed by the trumps of their time. Much of the UK and Euro landed gentry were inbred-retarded and trump-like in their total lack of perspective. If either were to return, they would not be surprised in the least with trump.
Nor would they be surprised that americans are as hapless, ignorant and stupid as we truly are. We've been religious-fetishist capitalist for centuries; our people have been brainwashed in this way, delusionally, as a firewall against communism since WWI; our ability to reason has been eroded steadily for 5 decades by the capitalists; our inherent xenophobia has been accentuated rather than suppressed for that same half century also.
When capital determines who is electable, you get what Marx and Hegel and some others predicted well over a century ago.
For further ominous feelings of doom, read their treatment of "late stage capitalism". If you can understand it, you'll be truly worried.

I wouldn't hold out much hope for realizing that wish as long as Nazis and democraps are our only allowed selections.
