DAVID VITTER (R-LA) IS A WHOREMONGER AND A HYPOCRITE

>

Vitter using his wife Wendy and son Jack as campaign props

Earlier today the DC Madam put all the phone numbers of her clients on her website:

I think it was up for like 2 hours and then it was down-- but not before an industrious blogger uncovered one of the worst and most vicious homophobic savages in the entire GOP was running after those high-priced professional ladies, Senator David Vitter (R-LA). I have mixed emotions about prostitution but it's a free country-- or it ought to be-- and if an adult woman wants to do it, and takes health precautions (one can only imagine what a man like Vitter is carrying), then why not? The problem is the hypocrisy. Vitter campaigns by denigrating his opponents for being perverts or somehow against the "American Family." Hitler used this same tactic, by the way. It was all for the sanctity of the German family. Here's Vitter in 2004:
This is a real outrage. The Hollywood left is redefining the most basic institution in human history, and our two U.S. Senators won't do anything about it.

We need a U.S. Senator who will stand up for Louisiana values, not Massachusetts's values. I am the only Senate Candidate to coauthor the Federal Marriage Amendment; the only one fighting for its passage. I am the only candidate proposing changes to the senate rules to stop liberal obstructionists from preventing an up or down vote on issues like this, judges, energy, and on and on.

The man is a putrid hypocrite and a typically divisive Republican phony-baloney. And now his campaign consultant has told him to say that God has forgiven him. Here's his statement:
This was a very serious sin in my past for which I am, of course, completely responsible. Several years ago, I asked for and received forgiveness from God and my wife in confession and marriage counseling. Out of respect for my family, I will keep my discussion of the matter there-- with God and them. But I certainly offer my deep and sincere apologies to all I have disappointed and let down in any way.

He's been doing this for years. Mr. Republican Family Values has been having one extra-martal affair after another and I sincerely doubt he begs his wife for forgiveness after each and every one.

His consistently anti-family/anti-human voting record is what he should be apologizing for. Zero on health care, zero on family planning, zero on housing, zero on human rights and civil liberties, zero on labor rights, zero on Justice for all, zero on education, zero on the environment. And, of course, zero on Iraq, meaning he voted for the Bush Cheney Iraq agenda 100% of the time.

I wonder if any of the girls he was paying were immigrants. A vicious xenophobe, he may have rubber stamped everything Bush asked for since 2000, but he was a leader on killing Bush's immigration reform bill.

UPDATE: GO FOR IT, WENDY

Another time Vitter got caught screwing around-- with a well-known French Quarter prostitute-- his wife, Wendy, mouthed off to the Newhouse News Service.
His wife, Wendy, was asked by the Newhouse News reporter: If her husband was as unfaithful as former President Bill Clinton, would she be as forgiving as Hillary Clinton?

“I’m a lot more like Lorena Bobbitt than Hillary,” Wendy Vitter told Newhouse News. “If he does something like that, I’m walking away with one thing, and it’s not alimony, trust me.”

Gee, that sounds a lot more Jewish than Christian... I mean biblically speaking.

UPDATE: IS THIS THE VITTER END?

Apologies for the headline. I meant to ask if Vitter, the only U.S. Senator to endorse Giuliani, will take his own advise. Keep in mind that Vitter was able to get into Congress in the first place because Newt Gingrich was being forced to resign as Speaker for his numerous extra-marital affairs and the guy the Republicans had picked to replace him, Bob Livingston R-LA) was immediately exposed as a serial sex addict by Larry Flynt in Hustler. Livingston slinked off in disgrace and Vitter took his House seat. At that point, 1998, the Atlanta Journal Constitution asked Vitter if he thought President Clinton should be held accountable for his own extra-marital relations. I wonder if Vitter will apply his own standards to himself:
"I think Livingston’s stepping down makes a very powerful argument that Clinton should resign as well and move beyond this mess."

I think the good folks of Louisiana, after all they've been made to endure by the Bush Regime and its rubber stamp allies like Vitter in the wake of Katrina, deserve honest representation and not an arch hypocrite like David Vitter, who thinks what America's #11 need is a Constitutional amendment to ban same sex marriage. Not only does he support that he actually said "I don't believe there's any issue that's more important than this one" (and with a straight face). One has to wonder if he talked with any of his mistresses about this. Do you think they laughed? As Glenn makes clear, "Vitter carried on a year-long affair with a prostitute in 1999. Then he ran for the House as a hard-core social conservative family values candidate, parading around his wife and kids as props and leading the public crusade in defense of traditional marriage. Then, in Washington, he became a client of Deborah Palfrey's. Then he announced that amending the Constitution to protect traditional marriage was the most important political priority the country faces. Rush Limbaugh, Fred Thompson and Newt Gingrich supported the same amendment. As always, it is so striking how many Defenders of Traditional Marriage have a record in their own broken lives of shattered marriages, multiple wives and serial adultery."

FINAL UPDATE (I PROMISE): SHOULD DAVID VITTER'S PENIS BE CHOPPED OFF BY WENDY?

He needs to resign NOW.

We still have a Democratic governor in Louisiana, right? Blanco can appoint herself to the seat and give RGJoe hell for Katrin, right there in the Committee room, if Reid will put her on his committee.

Tips the balance, too -- makes RGJoe irrelevant.

I couldn't agree with you more: the good people of LA do deserve honest representation. Which is why I'm waiting for the Democratic Congressman from Louisiana to resign. You remember Rep. William "Cold Cash" Williams, right?

Robbie, I'm with you on that 100%. No progressives supported William Jefferson-- who I assume you're trying to talk about. The Democratic Party endorsed his opponent and it was Republicans who gave him the margin of victory. But I'm with you on calling for his resignation. Jefferson and Vitter should get up on stage and do it together-- for the good of America.

1. If this is a serious sin, then why he did it? WHY HE DID IT?

2. This is how republican vote against GAY MARRIAGE and use our tax money fulfil their personal excitement.

3. Republican deserves the failure

4. I would suggest him resign and buy himself the so-called "integrity"

It isn't just "extra-marital" sex in which Vitter was engaged. It was a crime for which two prostitutes have been prosecuted. In Palfrey's case, she's being charged by the DOJ for racketeering -- which enters into the discussion the possibility that high profile public officials like Vitter were being blackmailed for money or votes. Don't forget the ties between Vitter and Jack Abramoff's prostitution/lobbying ring. A crime is a crime. God and Vitter's wife might -- *might* -- forgive such a hypocrite, but we certainly shouldn't have to tolerate him in the United States Senate.

Senator Vitter is the only Representative in Louisiana to investigate corruption in a federal court that stole hundreds of senior citizens life savings. see www.thedemonhunter.org
