Track Palin Is Still Beating Up Women But The Right-Wing Media Is Too Busy Smearing Linda Sansour To Notice

>

Remember Track Palin? He's Sarah's oldest son. 28 now. He has a history of violence (while on meth)-- primarily towards women. Early in 2016 he beat up his girlfriend, punching her in the face and then kicking her while she was down on the floor. He brandished an AR-15 and eventually pleaded guilty to misconduct involving weapons and for possessing a weapon while "intoxicated" but was never charged with violence towards his girlfriend. But at least Al Franken has been forced out of public office. Palin (Track) was arrested and jailed Sunday.

This time it wasn't just for beating up a woman-- though that's part of it-- but also for burglary. Sarah is demanding her privacy be respected and right wing media is ignoring Track's penchant for beating up women and instead focusing on accusations that Linda Sarsour, one of the inspirations behind the Women’s March on Washington, has been accused of enabling the alleged sexual assault and harassment of a woman who worked for her.
Allegations of groping and unwanted touching were allegedly brought to Sarsour during her time as executive director of the Arab American Association. In response, Sarsour, a self-proclaimed champion of women, attacked the woman bringing the allegations, often threatening and body-shaming her, these sources alleged. The most serious allegations were dismissed, Asmi Fathelbab, the alleged victim told The Daily Caller, because the accused was a “good Muslim” who was “always at the Mosque.”

“She oversaw an environment unsafe and abusive to women,” said Fethelbab, a former employee at the Arab American Association. “Women who put [Sarsour] on a pedestal for women’s rights and empowerment deserve to know how she really treats us.”

...Fathelbab claims the Arab American Association was an unsafe workplace where she was allegedly sexually assaulted, body-shamed and intimidated.

Oftentimes, Sarsour was directly involved, according to the ex-staffer’s account.
The same story is being gleefully spread by Fox, The Blaze, Trumpanzee Jr and the Washington Examiner, far right media outlets highly antithetical to women, minorities and Muslims. Breitbart was too busy resuscitating Juanita Broaddrick charges against Bill Clinton and reporting on the rise of feminist witchcraft but they are expected to jump in on the Sansour story soon.

As you might have guessed the smear attack by a crackpot who was fired from BuzzFeed for plagiarizing 41 articles. Sarsour provided "BuzzFeed News with witness statements and email correspondence that offer a markedly different version of what happened after then-staff member Asmi Fathelbab accused an office volunteer of harassing her in 2009."
Sarsour said her first instinct was to dismiss the report as a hit piece, but Trump Jr.’s role in amplifying the claims made her fearful for the personal safety of her and her family.

“Anti-Semitic, terrorist sympathizer, supporter of female genital mutilation-- every week they come up with some new stuff about me,” Sarsour said of her detractors. “But when the president’s son is tweeting about me, that’s serious stuff.”

...“She called me a liar because ‘Something like this didn’t happen to women who looked like me,’” Fathelbab was quoted as saying about Sarsour’s reaction. She added that fans who put Sarsour “on a pedestal for women’s right and empowerment deserve to know how she really treats us.”

Sarsour said she’s “dumbfounded” by Fathelbab’s version of what happened. As referenced in the documents Sarsour provided, she gave ACCESS an affidavit dated Aug. 13, 2009. Sarsour defended Seif in the statement and wrote that it was Fathelbab who was creating a hostile environment by telling co-workers stories of alleged harassment.

Sarsour told ACCESS she’d looked into the claims and found “no substantial evidence or any testimonies from anyone about the alleged accusations.” Even so, Sarsour continued, she talked with Seif about the claims and asked him to stay “as far away as possible” from Fathelbab to avoid worsening the issue. Seif denied Fathelbab’s claims at the time, and he does to to this day. Sarsour said she’d considered the matter settled-- until hearing five months later that Fathelbab had told ACCESS about the claims.

Sarsour told BuzzFeed that none of Fathelbab’s claims to the Daily Caller matched the account she brought to Sarsour nearly nine years ago.

“The exact words were, ‘He makes me feel uncomfortable,’” Sarsour said. “There was nothing about touching or groping. There’s no evidence, no email, she can pull out where she ever gave those claims to us.”

As for the claims about body-shaming, Sarsour said, that “never, ever” happened.

“This is character assassination,” she said. “This is where we have to draw the line. I have two daughters. This is not the type of behavior I engage in.”

...“Linda did what she was supposed to do. She had a meeting, got our perspective, got our witness accounts. What else could she do?” he said. “I thought this was over and done with nine years ago.”
No mention on any of the right-wing media outlets of the letter Raul Grijalva (D-AZ) and Judy Chu (D-CA) have sent to the Department of Homeland Security and the Justice Departmnent demanding increased accountability and transparency over claims of sexual assault, abuse, and harassment within immigrant detention facilities. Grijalva and Chu noted with alarm that "The Office of the Inspector General at the Department of Homeland Security received a total of 33,126 complaints of sexual and/or physical abuse against DHS component agencies between January 2010 and July 2016, according to CIVIC’s complaint. Of the 33,126 complaints of sexual and/or physical abuse, the DHS-OIG opened investigations into only 225 of them, or 0.07%."

Maybe Trump Will Eventually Think Of Even More Ways To Trivialize The GOP Primary Contest

>

I don't remember if Palin's son Track (above, with his legs in the air invitingly) and her kind-of-son-in-law Levi ever actually became gay porno stars or not. I do remember that about a decade ago Track was arrested for vandalizing the entire Wasilla school bus fleet and that he decided to join the Army instead of serve time in jail. Sometimes odd things happen in jail-- and the Army-- and he was arrested this week, now 26, for beating up his girlfriend and threatening to shoot her. He was drunk at the time. Same day mommy bear Palin was endorsing Herr Trumpf in Iowa. Yesterday Sarah, campaigning with Herr in Tulsa, blamed President Obama for giving poor Track PTSD in Iraq. (Veterans think Palin is wrong to try to blame her son's mental illness on Obama. "It's not President Obama's fault that Sarah Palin's son has PTSD," said Paul Rieckhoff, who heads Iraq and Afghanistan Veterans of America. "PTSD is a very serious problem, a complicated mental health injury and I would be extremely reluctant to blame any one person in particular.") Palin attempted to use her son's misfortune as political fodder, telling the Trumpian audience that Commander-in-Chief Herr Trumpf would never leave "our wounded warriors" behind, which sounded like a bizarre nonsequitor Tuesday but was more understandable in Tulsa yesterday.
“I can talk personally about this,” Mrs. Palin said. “I guess it’s kind of the elephant in the room, because my own family, going through what we’re going through today with my son, a combat vet having served in a Stryker brigade fighting for you all, America, in the war zone.”

The crowd cheered. “My son, like so many others, they come back a bit different,” she said. “They come back hardened.”

She said soldiers needed a president who understands their sacrifices. “So when my own son is going through what he goes through coming back, I can certainly relate with other families who kind of feel these ramifications of some PTSD and some of the woundedness that our soldiers do return with,” she said, “and it makes me realize more than ever, it is now or never for the sake of America’s finest that we have that commander in chief who will respect them and honor them.”

Did you listen to the endorsement speech in Ames, Iowa Tuesday? That's it above. Pretty low energy from the crowd and she sounded kind of rusty and mechanical. Lines like "He is the master of the art of the deal; he is the one who would know what to negotiate," drill, baby, drill," and "He is from the private sector, not a politician; can I get a hallelujah? He knows how to lead the charge. So troops hang in there, he’s on the way" sounded a little shop-worn and scripted. And now the pill-poppin' wing-nut is already AWOL and not showing up at events that have advertised her. The Trumpf p.r. team explained that announcing she would be a "special guest" wasn't meant to imply she would be "on the stage." Oh; I'm sure that makes sense in RepublicanWorld. No doubt Cruz would have loved to have had the endorsement but what does it really do for Herr, beyond win a news cycle? Is she still relevant, even to Republican voters?

Writing for ABC News, Rick Klein said the Palin-Trump alliance marks the ultimate triumph of personality over policy in the Republican Party, which sounds about right. He thinks she still may have some clout though. "In backing Trump, Palin is putting her considerable pull among tea partiers and other grassroots conservatives to the test. She’s signaling to them that ideology matters less than attitude-- a proposition she tested, intentionally or not, when she joined John McCain’s ticket in 2008. That was as intense a national roller-coaster as we’ve witnessed in politics, so it’s fair to expect dips and turns along the way. It’s also fair to note that Palin is unlikely to motivate many possible Trump voters in Iowa who weren’t already on board. But in its timing and its implications, with Ted Cruz having just started to break through by questioning Trump’s conservative credentials, you betcha this matters for Iowa and beyond. Trump has a figure who can be described as Trump-like to campaign on his behalf-- one famously boosted to national prominence by none other than John McCain. The revolving door of politics and reality TV has opened to a new pairing at the center of the presidential race."

Livin' Palin Sits Down To Chew The Blubber With Charlie

>

I bet McCain is hoping the new issue of the National Enquirer distracts people's attention from the mindbogglingly stupid first-ever serious interview his running mate did on ABC-TV this evening. Better they should question Sarah Palin's extremely dubious parenting skills than question John McCain's far more dubious judgment and sense of responsibility towards the country he falsely professes to love. "Clueless" was one of the kinder reviews of Palin's performance.

Steel yourself for the Enquirer piece-- not by taking some Oxy but by recalling a famous quote by far right nincompoop Little Jonah Goldberg in the National Review: "[I]t's worth pointing out that while the Enquirer may or may not be scrupulous in its choice of stories-- that's in the eye of the beholder-- it is pretty scrupulous about its facts. They win lawsuits. They've broken a host of stories the MSM guys couldn't." McCain seems to have backed down from his threats to sue the Enquirer over this one and he's probably hoping people talk about this instead of Palin's suitability for elective office.

The claims that her kids are promiscuous drug addicts and criminals is all fun and games for the dysfunctional kooks who are identifying with her. The stuff she talked about on her first excursion into the semi-real world-- hey, this was Charlie Gibson, not Keith Olbermann or Rachel Maddow-- tells Americans all they need to know about the desperate codger who rashly picked her. Even the uber-biased A.P.-- which has been serving as the press release distribution and enhancement arm of the Double Talk Express-- positively savaged Palin's shocking display of ignorance and unmitigated dingbattery.

This morning's Washington Post isn't kinder to a self-righteous woman clearly out of her depth and unable or unwilling to just shut up.
Gov. Sarah Palin linked the war in Iraq with the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks, telling an Iraq-bound brigade of soldiers that included her son that they would "defend the innocent from the enemies who planned and carried out and rejoiced in the death of thousands of Americans."

The idea that the Iraqi government under Saddam Hussein helped al-Qaeda plan the attacks on the World Trade Center and the Pentagon, a view once promoted by Bush administration officials, has since been rejected even by the president himself. But it is widely agreed that militants allied with al-Qaeda have taken root in Iraq since the U.S.-led invasion.

One thing was clear-- if you would want to see a nuclear war with Russia, McCain-Palin is the way to go. Lincoln Chafee, former Republican senator from Rhode Island, termed her a "cocky wacko," possibly too endearing a term for someone as dangerous.

What To Do About Chris Carney

>

One of the worst and most dishonest of the reactionary freshmen from the Republican wing of the Democratic Party, Pennsylvania Bush-Cheney rubber stamp Chris Carney has been begging constituents to flood the newspapers in northeast Pennsylvania with letters to the editors extolling his virtues. He doesn't have any virtues; he's a dishonorable and dishonest man unfit for public service. He made the mistake of e-mailing former online donors from his 2006 campaign. At the time, 722 Blue America contributors donated thousands of dollars to Carney's campaign. Once he proven himself to be a liar we asked for our money back. He refused to return the money he took from us under false pretenses.

One donor, from Northumberland, PA, who Carney asked to write a letter to the editor obliged by sending this to the Sunbury Daily Item:
Editor,

As a VFW Post CMDR and a Combat Veteran in the Special Forces, I have to ask that the people help throw Chris Carney out of office. I voted for him even though he was a democrat and was shocked when it turned out he lied about his positions. I thought he had integrity since he was a Navy veteran. He said he support one position but has lied to me personally since he was elected. He expects to be reelected automatically, I can't allow that. I don't know who is running against him but I can't accept him as my representative nor can my comrades in the VFW.

XXX XXXXXX
CMDR, Post #9450
7th Special Forces, 79-87

Electing Carney was a terrible mistake-- one that should be rectified in November. Progressives should either not vote for that office or write in... well... how about Track Palin? He'd probably be a step up from Carney.
