Xenophobic Maniacs, John & Ken, California's 2 Top Blow Hard Radio Hosts, On The Warpath Against "Nutmeg" Whitman

>

I guess no one told her what these two did to David Dreier or how the NRCC's lawsuit against them was tossed out by the FEC. She seemed unprepared for the buzzsaw treatment (click on "check out the video here" and watch the interview) they had prepared for her. Their only interest was to castigate her for talking out of both sides of her mouth-- in English from one side and en español from the other side-- in terms of Hispanic immigrants. Their point for the thirty minute interview was that she's a hypocrite and just another political hack. And they're mean... really mean, and sharp. They cut her to ribbons. She was insane to go on the air with these clowns.

And they've been on the warpath ever since. Keep in mind this is the biggest radio show in Los Angeles and it now gets rebroadcast on KNEW in the Bay Area as well. They get about a million listeners at any one time and are generally acknowledged to be the most listened to local talk show anywhere in America. They keep hammering her on their show and their website is abuzz with anti-Nutmegmania re-posted from other sources:
KQED: The issue of illegal immigration doesn't seem to be getting any easier for Meg Whitman.

In a bruising half hour interview with Los Angeles talk show hosts John Kobylt & Ken Chiampou this afternoon, the Republican gubernatorial nominee said she's against any path to citizenship for those who are in the country illegally, even though she seemed to be for such a path 10 months ago.

The KFI-AM talk show hosts were riled up about what they see as inconsistencies between Whitman's primary campaign rhetoric, her rhetoric now that she faces Jerry Brown, and her own statements compared to those made by her campaign ads. And they insisted that a "path to citizenship" is synonymous with "amnesty" for those here illegally…

San Francisco Chronicle: The California Republican Party, already challenged to win key races this year in a blue-leaning state, has a new problem to deal with: The two GOP gubernatorial primary candidates are still tangling two months later.

Meg Whitman's recent attacks on Steve Poizner, who lost the primary, could cost her the support of his backers, some GOP officials say, when she needs every Republican vote and many of the state's independent voters to beat Democrat Jerry Brown in November.

On Wednesday, former eBay CEO Whitman took to the airwaves in Southern California and again jabbed at Poizner, suggesting the state insurance commissioner refused Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger's request last year that state officers put their employees on unpaid leave as part of a plan to cut expenses during the budget crisis.

In her interview with KFI radio station hosts John and Ken, Whitman also said Poizner spent more than $30 million to attack her during the primary campaign…

This is post they did all on their own:
Meg Whitman’s senior political adviser Rob Stutzman is calling John and Ken “shock jocks” and says immigration is their schtick!

Call Stutzman and tell him you don’t think the immigration problem is schtick!  This hack thinks this is just a comedy act!  Tell him what illegal immigration has done to your state!

Better off to not engage in a dialogue with these folks, no? They can't lose; you can't win. Meg Whitman proves once again she may be rich, but she's politically clueless.

America's Most Listened-To Hate-Talk Radio Show Breaks With Sarah Palin Over Health Care

>

John and Ken don't think of themselves as Hate-Talk Radio hosts; they think of themselves as entertaining Hate-Talk Radio hosts. And they host the biggest drive-time radio show in L.A. In fact, their show is the biggest drive-time radio show in America. Five hours a day of pure entertaining hate. In L.A. it's on KFI and in San Francisco, on KNEW.

John, more the asshole of the two, is John Kobylt, and Ken is Ken Chiampou. And yes, of course, they are right-wing imbeciles beloved of Southern California teabaggers. Their vicious and relentless campaign against Gray Davis is the reason California is saddled with Arnold Schwarzenegger, whom they endorsed-- and whom they never tire of railing against, and who is the most unpopular governor in recorded history. That was their biggest political achievement. Everything else they attempted has failed, from defeating "immigrant lover" and closet queen David Dreier to recalling a bunch of Republicans they deemed too moderate.

One of their most recent forays into failed politics was an attempt to derail the healthcare reform bill, a combination of their #1 obsession (Greed and Selfishness) and their #2 obsession (hatred of immigrants). You probably noticed that Sunday night, this failed as well, and is now threatening to turn the conservatives they extoll into ever more diminished and less influential figures.
Passage of the health care legislation challenges the heart of the Republicans’ strategy this year: To present a unified opposition to big Democratic ideas, in this case expressed in a stream of bristling anger and occasional mischaracterizations of what the bill would do.

From a legislative perspective, the Republican strategy did not work, despite months of predictions from Republicans that the bill would fail and that that would cripple Mr. Obama’s presidency... The head of the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee, Senator Robert Menendez of New Jersey, offered a similar argument. “When this bill goes into effect, and none of the things Republicans warned about begin to happen-- none of the death panels, none of the government takeover, none of the socialism-- Republicans will have no credibility,” Mr. Menendez said.

Yesterday John and Ken were complaining about the bill, but from an interesting conservative perspective. They cursed Sarah Palin for bringing up the whole death panels controversy. That's because they strongly favor death panels. And that brings us back to obsession #1: Greed and Selfishness. They're all for pulling the plug on Granny, because they're worried that they'll have to pay to keep her alive. "Let her hug the grandkid one more time and be on her way... fast."

Yesterday's NY Times wondered aloud what will happen when the Know Nothings the media calls teabaggers suddenly figure out that the GOP has been lying to them all year about the healthcare bill and that all the "information" they think they have from Limbaugh and Glenn Beck and O'Reilly and Savage and Hannity is nothing but baseless propaganda. "Republicans," they say, will "face the question of what happens if the health care bill does not create the cataclysm that they warned of during the many months of debate."

Closing out the floor debate on Sunday night, the House Republican leader, Representative John A. Boehner of Ohio, warned that the legislation would be “the last straw for the American people.” Representative Marsha Blackburn, Republican of Tennessee, proclaimed several hours earlier, “Freedom dies a little bit today.” I think she was talking about her political party and already discredited conservatism. But you probably already read all the commentary on David Frum's Waterloo, right?
