People already have plenty of economic reasons to not reproduce. Living in Gilead will only increase the understanding that reproduction isn't a wise move.

and besides the wisdom of 5:20, why would anyone willingly create a child who will be forced to a life of unknown degrees of abject misery due to climate change?
having children has always been a selfish act. It's now an act of indescribable cruelty... to someone you're supposed to love.
