Trump resigning would be good for the country and the known universe, but I'd prefer to see him play Russian Roulette on worldwide pay-per-view. Not only would the irony of the name of the choice of game be delicious, but the event could raise billions for some good causes and rid the world of this pestilence. I'm just looking for something good to come of the Trump presidency which has so deliberately failed our country. We could even give him a last meal of very tainted Taco Bell, KFC, or Chick-fil-A. And, a pre-Show warm-up of dancing porno stars and Russian prostitutes.

Good one, Noah. However, is this even wishful thinking? I for one would like to see I'm in an orange jumpsuit - resigning is far too good for him. And then Pence would naturally pardon him, just like Ford did with Nixon, and we'd all be pissed as hell. There is something REALLY WRONG with Pence. That Trump meeting with Nancy and Chuck was unbelievable, just for Pence. He looked like a wax museum figure. I cannot imagine him as President giving a speech. It is beyond puking.
We all know that Trump will never resign. In fact, even if he loses in 2020 (if he even gets that far), we know he will claim the results are illegal and that he actually won, and refuse to leave the White House. Plus, if he resigns he will immediately face enormous legal problems from NY's new Attorney General, regardless of whatever deal he could possibly make to avoid federal charges if he resigns (which he won't).
So we are STUCK with the Orange Monster for months and months ahead. All the damage he is doing is outrageous and it will only get worse. We are so screwed, and so is the rest of the world and the planet.
The road to hell is paved with Republicans (and Blue Dogs, the stinkers).

He will not resign, sadly, because he is counting on the concept that Individual #1 would be legally untouchable. I now have to see the image of “he will say the results are illegal and claim that he actually won” and thus refuse to leave the White House. Thanks, y’all. You just ruined my Christmas.

The democraps are flailing as they search hysterically for someone palatable to a third of the electorate (the 'any blue' contingent) *AND* a devoted neoliberal that their donors will love (like obamanation was).
Bernie, Elizabeth and AOC will never be allowed anywhere near a nom because of their progressive rhetoric (and when all those millions more voters get betrayed, they'll make the democraps a rump minority (imbecile) party that couldn't win an election anywhere ever again.
Whoever they puke up will probably be able to lose just like $hillbillary did. Maybe worse. Especially considering the "chops" of the DNC.
