Midnight Meme Of The Day!

Imagine that! Who could have guessed. Not only did all talk of "The Caravan" cease immediately after the election, now the thousands of troops that SeƱor Trumpanzee sent to the border have returned, and all at a cost of a mere $200 million. It was all an election season stunt designed to rile up Trump's Flo-Thru Cranium base! Wow! I'm really shocked, aren't you?

$200 million! If Trump gave a damn about our military people, that $200 million could have been spent for veteran care and/or job and education opportunities. Oh, but I guess Republicans would call that Socialism! Yeah, better to waste that $200 million on a campaign publicity stunt. Maybe next time Trump will just burn the cash on the White House lawn, or, use it to set fire to a cross in the Rose Garden. But, only if he can't find a way to just stuff it in his pockets.

A quick web search reveals that Trump's thwarted Goose Step Gala would have cost as much as $30 million, probably more. He had lots of pressure from all angles complaining about things like pavement damage and traffic tie-ups. He couldn't just order the review.

So instead he sends thousands of troops to guard the border. Hw doesn't get the Grand Exposition he sought. No bands, no flyovers, no dress uniforms. But he still gets to play tin soldiers in real life. That he could order.

So what got cut under the unofficial Pay-Go system the Republicans have been proclaiming (and Nancy agrees to) to cover this unbudgeted $200 million for Trump's muscle-flexing?

The taxpayers deserve to know what they are losing to this buffoon's ego trip. The corrupt corporatist Congress won't deliver any answers, because they don't really want to know. The Pentagon won't say, because their official line is that their budget is not auditable. The media won't investigate, because that isn't their function anymore.

Once again, We the People get played for chumps and will cover the costs with reduced services. It's not like there is any shortage of poor and/or elderly who can just die off and decrease the surplus population for the benefit of the greater good or anything.
