Stacey Dash, we hardly knew ye, and that was more than enough.

Former Clueless star and current clueless human, Stacey Dash has withdrawn her candidacy for the House Of Representatives, saying

After much prayer, introspection and discussions with my family, I am withdrawing my candidacy for California's 44th Congressional district.

Prayers from California's citizens probably had more to do with her bailing than any prayers of her own. Anyway, she's gone from the race and we can only speculate as to who or what will replace her. But, oh, I worry so much about what will happen to Ms. Dash! Can she go back to FOX "News." Laura Ingraham's slot might open up but FOX may see Stacey as "unqualified." Certainly, Sean Hannity would have a big problem with her moving in next to his show. So what's Stacey's next career move? HSN model? How about Televangelist? Gameshow host? Alex Jones conspiracy news commentator? The meme only mentions her vast resume of photos in black magazines but a little googling reveals that there's much more than that, including Playboy, so it's nice to know that she's an indiscriminating individual and knows how to spread it around. She's got options!

I'll give Dash a little credit. She may just have taken in the reality that CA-44 went for Hillary Clinton by a margin of 83% to 12%. Maybe she isn't completely clueless. One thing is for sure: The laughter and derision that her recent TV appearances brought on had to be difficult for even an ignoramus to stomach. She can always go back to acting. Acting is so much like politics anyway and she had some undeniable success as an actress, but, I can't help thinking of those stories of silent film actors and actresses who lost their careers as soon as talkies came and they had to open their mouths for real.

The evaporation of her candidacy doesn't change anything. There are plenty more conservative, phony-ass Christian Republicans to take her place. To show how compassionate I am, I'll just say to Stacey-- Don't let the door hit ya.
