Movie Watch: Who knew that "The Godfather"'s Tom Hagen had such a whimsical sartorial sense?

My friend Jim Dawson, whose Back Row Reviews remain the best source I know for usable movie reviews, circulated a link on Facebook which yields the above nugget. It's a Cracked feature called :25 Behind the Scenes Movie Photos You Can't Un-See," and as Jim says, "The first shot, of Brando reading cue cards on Robert Duvall's body during filming of The Godfather, is a must-see." Unfortunately, the other 24 photos give new meaning to words like "lame," "idiotic," and "pointless."
The official Cracked premise for this piece is:
Movies rely a lot on the viewers' suspension of disbelief. But thanks to the Internet, a lot of that disbelief is being shattered with the downright silly behind-the-scenes pictures we have access to. Our readers collected some for your viewing pleasure, and we gave the best $100." But it's hard to imagine whose disbelief might be shattered by photos like these. There are also numerous photos of sci-fi- and horror-show-type characters partly out of makeup, or special effects vaguely deconstructed. Did the people who sent these photos in imagine that these film characters and effects were real?
What, you mean those weren't real apes?
What, you mean that wasn't a real shark? (This would actually be interesting in a list of "Top 10 Things You Didn't Know About Jaws" -- but as a "behind-the-scenes photo you can't un-see"?)
What, you mean that wasn't real snow and mist? (Again, interesting information, but did anyone think the scene was shot in real snow and mist?)
What, you mean that wasn't a real Marshamallow Man?
Oh, for Pete's sake!
AND IN CASE YOU WONDERED ABOUT
THE "WINNER" OF THIS MISHMOSH --
What, you mean it wasn't a real T-Rex?
WELL, WE STILL HAVE THE GODFATHER SHOT
You know, the one that the Cracked geniuses ranked #25 of their 25 life-changing behind-the-scenes photos.
Much as I love The Godfather and Marlon Brando, I don't think I'll ever look at either quite the same way. Or perhaps even Robert Duvall, who seems to have missed out on the opportunity to be a fashion trend-setter.
