We'll start posting again at midnight (ET).

Meanwhile, please, take a look at the Wikipedia page that explains why so many websites and blogs are having a down day.

Matt Cartwright, the progressive Democrat challenging corrupt corporate Blue Dog Tim Holden, one of the cosponsors, had this to say about the proposed legislation:
"In my opinion, SOPA is a bill so riddled with unconstitutional infringements on free speech and unconstitutionally vague criminalization of conduct that it is hard to believe its authors ever even read the one document that they swore to protect and defend."

Thank you! I hope that you are not actually only taking the day off, but using the time to actively protest in one of the hundreds of locations across the country. This is a busy month for active progressives, yesterday Madison WI, Today SOPA and PIPA, Friday courthouses across the country in protest of citizens united!

It's not just YouTube that's doomed--freelance blogging will be doomed as well. If this Bill passes, I'm gonna have to take my blog down! Maybe I'll publish it at Lulu with my poetry--paperbacks are still allowed, right?

I knew Leahy was a worthless turd, but it turns out he's even worse than that: Leahy, Smith, Conyers
