Dueling Republican Attack Ads

Desperate and flailing, Rick Perry's collapsing campaign is now all about tearing down Romney. Behind the scenes, they're concentrating on persuading bigoted Southern evangelicals that it's dangerous to elect a Mormon-- and a Mexican Mormon at that. Up front, they're pushing the theme that he's leading the polls by misleading Republican voters.

And Romney's response: Perry is a stumbling, bumbling, drugged-up mess who "threw up all over himself." This ad is a real freak show... but does Mitt have the balls to actually release it to the public-- or is he just sending it around the GOP operatives?



UPDATE: Mittens Has An Excuse

The Romney people say they're not running the ad above that they wanted to use to show Perry as being a retard or a drug addled freak because CNN won't let them use the footage. They sent this to Greg Sargent: “While the use of the CNN clips was fully within our rights under the law, we respect and appreciate the role CNN has played as host in debates over the last several months. For this reason, we are honoring their request to remove the video.”
