When The Republicans Talk About Compromise...
>
Compromise for the right has always been getting the Democrats to adopt the positions that serve the interests of the elite that runs the country from behind the curtain. The iron fist of that elite has now popped out from behind that curtain in a big way to finance the GOP takeover of the House. When Miss McConnell said that priority #1 for the GOP will be to make sure Obama is a one-term president and when Mike Pence and John Boehner said there be no compromise with Democrats, and when numerous Republicans vowed to work for a government shutdown, much of it was campaign talk. That doesn't make it untrue a priori, since the 2012 presidential campaign is obviously in full swing as of today, but there are some accomplishments the ruling elite expects their shills in Congress to achieve.
Now, remember, all those corporate Blue Dogs who were thrown out of office have been replaced by Republicans, not by better Democrats, and the progressives lost ground as well. So, the same way Clinton stepped up to the plate for Big Business as soon as he took over the White House and had Rahm Emanuel force enough Democrats to do what George H.W. Bush was unable to deliver-- NAFTA-- Obama and Boehner will be delighted to work together on more job-killing trade deals that Pelosi would never have allowed.
Trade is one of the few areas where the White House hopes, with some reason, to find agreement with resurgent Republicans. Obama is headed to South Korea for a G-20 meeting on Nov. 10-11, where he hopes to finalize the pact that was negotiated by the George W. Bush administration.
...The GOP has been pressing for the South Korea deal to move forward. Obama, who wants to burnish his business credentials ahead of his expected 2012 reelection bid, also has a strong interest in seeing the $70 billion trade deal approved.
If passed by Congress, the South Korea pact would be the largest U.S. trade deal since the North American Free Trade Agreement of the early 1990s with Canada and Mexico.
And after that they'll sit down and make a deal on the Republican Party's biggest dream of all: to start the difficult process of dismantling Social Security. And they have just the right partner in the White House to do it, a weak and inexperienced intellectual who still imagines he can make everybody like him. That said, I'd like to officially open this new Act Blue page for business today. Time to get behind a real champion for working people and banish the corporate shills, who already control one party, from the other party, the one that many of us feel is supposed to be representing working families and progressive values. Obama had a voting record when he ran for the Democratic nomination. It was putrid and Blue America never endorsed him. Bernie Sanders has a record and we'd love to see him offer an alternative, family-oriented vision for the future of America rather than symbolic flim flam and the corporate one being pushed by virtually the entire ruling elite-- and that includes Obama and Boehner. Transformational, my ass.

"[Harry Reid is] our Leader and our whole caucus is thrilled that he's unbreakable and unbeatable," Kerry said.
John Kerry is a LOSER. He handed the 2004 election to Bush on a silver platter. Why can't worthless turds like him get run out of office instead of good people like Feingold and Grayson?
It's interesting that Act Blue is allowing $ to go to an independent. I remember some battles re: this in the past. Have they changed their view on this?

I believe that's, ASS SOULS!
