Earlier today Howie offered his nomination for a suitable Labor Day song. As it happens, I had a post all set to go for the late-night slot last night, which admittedly stretched the genre a wee bit. Somehow I managed not to post it. It was actually supposed to be a two-part post that would have spanned the holiday, concluding tonight. So what I've done is compress the two posts into one.

In case you were wondering, in Do Re Mi (which has a book by Garson Kanin, who also directed the original Broadway production in 1961) Hubie Cram sure enough comes up with "an angle, and we're going to hear about that in the click-through.
