Sunday Classics preview: Can you identify the four tenors we have singing Verdi's "Ingemisco" tonight?

>

Tenor Jonas Kaufmann sings the "Ingemisco" from the Verdi Requiem.
I groan as one who is accused;
guilt reddens my cheek;
Thy supplicant spare, O God.

Thou who absolved Mary,
and harkened to the thief,
hast given me hope.

My prayers are worthless,
but Thou who art good and kind,
rescue me from everlasting fire.

With Thy sheep give me a place,
and from the goats keep me separate,
placing me at Thy right hand.
(Some sort of prize ought to go to the huckleberry who comments on this performance: "It sounds fake, I can make the same sounds with my voice but its fake and wrong." At times the scale of YouTube nitwittitude simply takes your breath away.)

Last week I focused on the "Liber scriptus" and "Ingemisco" from the overwhelming Dies Irae (Day of Wrath) section of the Verdi Requiem, and indicated that it wasn't quite the way I had hoped/planned to attack the "Ingemisco" in particular. So this week I'm going to try again.

As we know, tenors normally come in threes, but for tonight I've culled recordings by four tenors, at least three of whom seem to me among the most immediately recognizable specimens of their calling. (We also hear some distinctly different emphases being expressed by the collaborating conductors.) So I thought I'd let you identify them. Note: They're all from commercial recordings that have been readily available.

HERE'S THE PLAN --

Tomorrow I have an all-day Municipal Art Society tour of Snug Harbor, Staten Island, which will mean leaving home too early to post the answers beforehand, so I'll shoot for posting when I get back, in the 6pm ET range. (UPDATE: Done -- see below.)

UPDATE (BACK FROM SNUG HARBOR):
THE ANSWERS ARE AVAILABLE HERE NOW

You can even click straight through to them!

Exciting news from Snug Harbor tentatively scheduled for my 6pm PT post.
