Ken, I know I'm not the only one who asserts that the federal Democrats have developed a mindset in recent decades of being licked before they even start. I'm literally reminded every time I watch one of the cringing, conciliatory Democrats reflexively grovel and immediately think of a 50's Italian satire on their own nation's governmental system. A reporter off camera asks his subject, an actor playing the head of the Communist Party, how he feels now that the national election results have just been announced, and his group has won the presidency. The man's eyes open wide in panic. "No, no! We...we...won't refuse to accept. You can't do this to us, I tell you, YOU CAN'T!"

The Democrats better wake up to the fact that they have a government to run, and soon. Because, nevermind the old farts like myself, but slapping down all those youthful independents who suddenly believed in the system thanks to Obama's promises? -If they don't start turning them into reality, they're not going to be there organizing and voting when the Democrats need them, again.

Well, if the Dems could get to the new Senate "magic number" of 75-80, and pick up 100 or so seats in the House . . . of course, those'll be mostly right-wing Dems, so maybe we should say 150 just to be safe, then . . . well, maybe then the R's would play "bipartisan" with them?

The Rahm Strategy! We absorb all the Republicans, become the Republicans, and diss the Democrats until they leave.

You know, there's a plot for a new Gilbert and Sullivan opera in there, somewhere.

Why are Democrats such pussies? First of all, since there is no cooperation from Republicans AT ALL and they are already calling him a "Tyrant" (and they "want their country back", Waaaaa Waaaaa)--Obama should just go back and push forth the Single-Payer Reform Bill and to hell with those (insert your favorite choice expletive for Republicans here).
