We All Need Someone To Stand By Us Sometimes... But Don't Look To The U.S. Senate
>

On April 30. Senator Durbin offered an amendment in the Senate, similar to one that had already passed the House and that President Obama was eager to sign, an amendment that was meant to keep hard hit families from being foreclosed on by predatory banksters. It comes as no surprise that not a single Republican voted for it-- not even, Arlen Specter, the one who is masquerading as a Democrat-- and that a dozen shameless Democrats joined with them on behalf of their corporate paymasters to vote the bill down 45-51. Why bother working to give them more senators? It's why we should only support "better" Democrats, not "more" Democrats.
The song below is the work of people from all over the world, some of them homeless. It's very powerful and very moving and I strongly suggest you watch it. When you do, keep in mind that Republicans and reactionary Democrats are owned by interests that wouldn't give a rat's ass if you and your family wind up homeless as well.
