WOULD YOU RATHER HAVE McCAIN OR OBAMA OVER FOR A COOKOUT? MOST AMERICANS PREFER OBAMA

>

Not many takers for what he's serving up

Remember when Americans said they would rather have a beer with Bush than Gore... or was it Kerry? That was pretty revolting nut my friend Michael reminded me last night that in a world of stupids, this is probably a very good thing.... Yahoo's Election '08 Political Pulse has determined that "people would rather barbecue burgers with Barack than munch meats with McCain. While many are still deciding which should be president, by 52 percent to 45 percent they would prefer having Barack Obama than John McCain to their summer cookout." You think? Well... McCain does do better with elderly white men.
Having Obama to a barbecue would be like a relaxed family gathering, while inviting McCain "would be more like a retirement party than something fun," said Wesley Welbourne, 38, a systems engineer from Washington, D.C.

...One in six people saying they'd vote for McCain prefer Obama as their barbecue guest; just one in 20 Obama backers would invite McCain.

I am sure that McCain is the better chef. I'd want to get him wasted though, so I'd make a huge pitcher of margaritas.

According to a recent poll, more Americans said that they'd prefer to invite Barack Obama to their barbecue than John McCain. Here are some subtle ways to get Obama to your cookout:

-"Hey Barack, really glad you're coming by on the 4th. Oh and we have a tradition around our house: If you're the presumptive Democratic nominee for President of the United States, you're on rib duty! Hope you've got more skills than that Kerry guy."
-"I hope when you're in office you do something about this food crisis. Do you know what they're charging for a bottle of Bull's Eye Barbecue Sauce at Pathmark? It's outrageous! I won't buy it! I simply won't buy it! It's a shame you can't save my cookout the way you're gonna save this country come next year."
