JAMES INHOFE FLIP-FLOPS BACK INTO FORM-- ANTI-VETERANS FANATIC

Early in April we did a post on the Webb-Hagel GI bill, which seeks to accomplish the goals of the lauditory original legislation by updating it and bringing it into the 21st Century. Although most of the senators who scrach "Support the Troops" the loudest and most shrilly-- and the ones whose voting records consistently oppose the troops, also oppose this bill, our original post included a denunciation of Oklahoma troope-hating fanatic, James Inhofe. However, the Democrat running to replace Inhofe, state Senator Andrew Rice, has been so successful in getting Inhofe's real record on veterans and active duty military personnel out to the public that Inhofe left the pressure. He signed on as a co-sponsor and we duly changed the post.

Guess what Inhofe did Tuesday, the day that veterans' groups from across the country were rallying on Capitol Hill in support of the bill? He flip-flopped and stealthily withdrew his name, hoping no one would notice. I guess he didn't want to ruin his 100% perfect record of opposing veterans-- 10 roll call votes for veterans, 10 roll call votes with Inhofe voting against them. What a guy!

And besides, now another phony-baloney who claims he supports veterans but is all hot air has his own less-vet friendly bill in the hopper. That, of course, would be Double Talker John W. McCain Also joining McCain and Inhofe in trying to derail real veterans' benefits are hysterical "Support the Troops" phonies Susan Collins and Holy Joe Lieberman.

These are the two guys James Inhofe is taking his cues from. Are you?
