The Tarpon Springs, Florida police and the corporate media have immediately declared the death of Deborah Jeane Palfrey (aka- "the DC Madam") a suicide-- even before the police were willing to confirm the body was hers! They claim there is a suicide note but won't disclose the contents. You'll recall she was convicted of running a prostitution service catering to members of the Inside the Beltway elite. Her client list yielded up a number of Bush Regime bigwigs and the hapless wingnut from Louisiana, David Diapers Vitter, who has a long history of chasing prostitutes in his own state and elsewhere. Of course, it is likely that whomever else was on that client list-- the undisclosed politicians, for example-- would have quite the motive for murder.
One of the escort service employees was former University of Maryland, Baltimore County, professor Brandy Britton, who was arrested on prostitution charges in 2006. She committed suicide in January before she was scheduled to go to trial.
Last year, Palfrey said she, too, was humiliated by her prostitution charges, but said: "I guess I'm made of something that Brandy Britton wasn't made of."
It could have been a suicide... but I wouldn't jump to conclusions until after a thorough investigation but a trustworthy agency. Uh, oh... I guess we'll never know.

Okay, check it out, a man in Houston, a CIA agent from Washington, is chased down in Houston Texas and before he can be arrested, he is shot two times by the police. Police state he had a gun. Does anyone remember Vicky Morgan, who was Alfred Bloomingdale's mistress? She had sex tapes of Ragans pal's and also ended up dead.
Strange that she has been quoted by other reporters as saying if she was found dead as a suicide, it would be murder, and that she feared for her life.

This is not new. People who have too much information on the government or certain powerful individuals are disposed of by the state machinery and then declared hastily to the world as having committed 'suicide'.
Remember Dr. David Kelly some years back? Weapons expert, Iraq dossier etc. Similar thing.

The next avenue is the quite strange "friend" who is quoted in the stories emailing the person "concerned". Then "remembering" the DC Madam had said she would commit suicide instead of going to prison.

Anybody else who found themselves in similar circumstances and ended up dead would require an investigation. How did she supposedly get the rope or whatever to do this? As a civil rights attorney, I've seen a number of suspicious "suicides" in jails. What was her condition when she entered, did they have her with a roommate, was she on suicide watch, what did she use to hang herself, how did she get up on whatever to do it, how often did they do rounds, etc., etc. Has this info been disclosed? Can it be gotten (perhaps only under subpoena if there were to be an investigation -- or if she has relatives willing to pursue)
There is plenty of time to judge this woman, we need to know who killed her! Hey Eric, take your medication and simmer down some before posting. I used to write my congresscritter and senator for several years - I still have the stack of form letters on congressional stationery to prove it. In every attempt I made to alert my congresscritter about my views I was thanked for my concerns, then treated to several paragraphs of why my views don't matter because he's going to vote however he is paid to vote by his lobbyists anyway. I am sure my experience is not unique, hence the cynicism you read in many places these days.
The fact of the matter is, American politics works the same way Mexican politics does - the fatter the kickbacks the more attention the politician grows. If you are still hung up on the socialist brainwashing you got from public schools where you think we have a representative government, then only Jesus can save you because you certainly won't save yourself and nobody else can.

Many of these posts make valid points, and I agree with most. However, there is one thing that really bothers me. There is a hurting grieving mother who has been traumatized beyound belief, whose life has been changed forever, who did not deserve this, who spends sleepless nights, and finds no rest knowing that her child has died this way. What a horror for her to endure. May everyone keep her in their thoughts and prayers, that God Himself will give her strength and comfort to go on. May she find some peace and serenity and not focus on the last memory of her daughter which NO mother should ever have to live through.
