WHAT ARE McCAIN AND LINDSEY DOIN' UP IN THEIR TREE?
>
Republican closet queens get normal gay men and women angry for a lot of reasons but one is because they perpetuate all the laughable stereotypes about gay people from the bad old pre-Stonewall days. Whether we're talking about Mark Foley (R-FL) getting drunk and molesting young boys or Larry Craig (R-ID) or Bob Allen (R-FL) trolling for sex from anonymous "straight" men in public toilets, contemporary gay men who aren't in the closet look at this kind of reprehensible Republican behavior as prehistoric and a throwback to an age of pre-liberation oppression. Today alleged closeted homosexual Lindsey Graham (R-SC) displayed another unattractive aspect of yesteryear's gay behavior-- his bizarre, submissive-- and some would say abusive and demeaning-- relationship with John McCain.
The same week that it comes to the public's attention that McCain's explosive temper and misogynistic attitude towards women resulted in him humiliating his wife Cindy by publicly berating her for using too much makeup and calling her a "trollop" and "a cunt" in front of reporters on the Double Talk Express, it also came out that McCain tried dominating Republican colleague Rick Renzi by repeatedly calling him "boy" and then running across the room and punching him when Renzi told him to STFU, "old man." Now we hear that Lindsey likes being treated like a submissive little girl by McCain. It gets him off. The attitude is so gay-- but 1950's gay.
What makes Lindsey all fuzzy and wet is when McCain calls him "little jerk." Graham explained, proudly that “If John’s not belittling you, you’re in trouble. He calls me lots of other names, too, but they’re not appropriate for the newspaper.” Modern women don't accept that kind of bullshit and neither do modern gay men. Lindsey is neither. He's just an old fashioned... whatever.
Some call Graham a lapdog. Others say he acts as though he’s one of McCain’s legislative aides. One Senate aide, who called Graham and Sen. Joseph I. Lieberman (I-Conn.) “Pips” to McCain’s Gladys Knight, said that Graham “fawns over McCain like there’s no tomorrow.” In the run-up to this week’s hearings for Army Gen. David Petraeus and Ambassador to Iraq Ryan Crocker, the Washington Post’s Tom Ricks said Graham “sometimes seems like McCain’s ‘Mini-Me.’”
...The two have grown so close that a Fox News anchor felt compelled to ask Graham last week if he might be McCain’s running mate-- a suggestion Graham laughed off by saying that McCain “doesn’t have anything I want or need.”
That’s not exactly true. As Graham himself admits, his close relationship with McCain affords him opportunities and access that most neophyte senators don’t usually enjoy — as long as he’s willing to put up with the abuse that goes along with it all.
There are no claims or suspicions that Graham, allegedly in a committed relationship with another gay man, and McCain, a power-obsessed philanderer and woman chaser, have ever done anything sexual with each other. But their relationship has a classic master/slave dynamic often associated with Republican closet queens.

Perhaps Billingsgate (after the central seafood markets in London) is a more accurate description of John McCain's linguistic misadventures.
Or, as Your Correspondent likes to call him, "The Terrible-Tempered Mr. Bang" (from a rather impatient character in the old "Toonerville Folks" comic strip).
Come to think of it, would "dirty trash can full of poop" (Smudge, Surf's Up, referring to Tank "The Shredder" Evans) be equally accurate?
Ricks is only now calling Graham Mini-me? Haven't you been calling him that for a while now? I think you should sue Ricks and the WaPo for trademark infringement. ;-)
