This morning Colin McEnroe at the Hartford Courant revealed the new Republican logo, the one that will greet GOP convention-goers when they arrive at the Minneapolis-St. Paul Airport-- home of the Twin Cities' newest and hottest tourist attraction. The logo appears to be a starry-eyed, wide-stanced elephant. Perfect for a nice big banner! And what a perfect reminder of how the foundation of their political party can be summed up in one word: hypocrisy.
So now that we know Senator Craig will still be Senator Craig when the convention rolls around will our good Christian politicians welcome him to their shindig? Does he get a prime-time speaker's slot? Maybe he can share one with David Diapers Vitter, Lindsey Graham, Patrick McHenry, David Dreier and Miss McConnell.
Labels: gay Republicans, Larry Craig, Minneapolis, Republican Convention, Republican hypocrisy

They had to change the logo. The old logo had three upside down stars on it. That has always been a secret code that they worshipped the unholy trinity. I think some of the religious right were beginning to catch on. Of course they couldn't make the elephant red because the last thing they wanted is for everyone to refer to it as the bloody elephant.
I think we should really go after them for the "wide stance" and the posture of a mounting elephant. Two things that will drive them crazy.
I'm waiting for someone to photoshop in the leg of the elephant in the next stall, tapping.
The elephant’s trunk makes the “S”, the lines on the back makes the “E”, and the elephants crossed upper legs makes the “X” for an example of subliminal advertising applied to a political symbol. The wide stance, twinkle in the eyes, and the tusks looking like erect phalluses completes the idea.
