CHINA TAKES ANOTHER GIANT STEP TOWARDS BECOMING JUST LIKE THE REPUBLICAN VISION OF AMERICA-- A PLACE WHERE WORKERS GET SCREWED OVER WITH IMPUNITY

>

Ken and I have been warning you about the consequences of the e coli conservatives' disdain for effective government and how that has poisoned our pets, our food, our medicine and, now, our toothpaste. according to today's Washington Post Bush Regime trade non-regulators and Food and Drug non-Adminstration employees may be responsible for some of us-- though only ones looking to save money on cheap products by buying Chinese crap-- may have been brushing with a poisonous chemical used in antifreeze. Although DWT warned our readers of this hazard on May 20th-- in connection to a report on the complicity with the Chinese government of Republican Senate Minority Leader Miss McConnell (KY)-- Bush's criminally incompetent F.D.A. waited until today to say something about it. Gee, not everybody reads DWT, fellas.
Out of caution, the Food and Drug Administration said, people should throw away toothpaste with labeling that states it was made in China. FDA is concerned that these products may contain diethylene glycol.

The agency is not aware of any reports in the United States of poisoning from toothpaste, but it did find the antifreeze ingredient in a shipment at the U.S. border and at two retail stores: a Dollar Plus store in Miami and a Todo A Peso store in Puerto Rico.

Um... even if Puerto Rico isn't an actual state, Miami, last time I checked-- and regardless of their bizarre political system-- is still part of the U.S.A. Has anyone ever told the FDA the little story about closing the barn door after the horse has run away?

When a partisan GOP hack like Bush's Treasury Secretary Henry Paulson is urging "reforms" on China, he isn't talking about anything except that which will guarantee higher margins for U.S. corporations. Within "reason," he doesn't give a rat's ass about poisoned pet food or toothpaste. China doesn't inspect food and drugs or look out for consumers? That's the Republican idea of Heaven. That's what DeLay and Abramoff and Doolittle were trying to set up in the Northern Marianas! No, the Bush Regime's idea of "reform" is the bankruptcy law that went into place today. This is even worse than what every single Republican-- aided and abetted by the worst of the corporate Dems, like Biden, the two horrid Nelsons, Pryor, Landrieu, Bayh, Salazar and Lincoln-- thrust on the American people in 2005. At the urging of American globalists, China was forced to get rid of what I heard one Bush Regime media stooge call a "dodo bird" provision of their old law. Under the bad old law, if a company went belly up and their assets were sold, the workers and pensioners were entitled to a fair share of the proceeds. Can you imagine anything so absurd? It sounds like... like... godless communism. Damn those workers; damn those parasitic pensioners. As of today, China will make sure only the bankers get to divvy up the proceeds. The workers and pensioners will be just like American workers and pensioners-- up shit's creek sans paddle.

Mao must be rolling over in his grave-- not to mention Marx, Engels and even Chou En-Lai.

Why is Bill Nelson even in the Democratic Party? Did you see his vote as it relates to torture today? He is a damn disgrace.
