AL-MASRI APPEARS TO BE LESS DEAD THAN GEORGE BUSH'S POLITICAL FORTUNES
>
All of America focussed, for at least a moment or two, on Bush's Mission Accomplished photo op-cum-politically-catastophic-miscalculation today on it's 4th anniversary. The numbers that measure Bush's Iraqi misadventure at that Center for American Progress link above, are simply staggering. Take a moment to contemplate them. I'm sorry they don't take into account the gigantic profits accrued to corporations that have supported the rise of the Bush Regime and the propagation of its venal agenda. He celebrated the occasion by declaring today, in a very Orwellian move, Loyalty Day and by vetoing the funding bill Congress sent him-- a funding bill which sought to extricate us from the mess he himself has created and the hole he keeps digging us deeper and deeper into.
As Bush attempts to shift the blame for his grotesque incompetence towards the troops, fewer and fewer Americans are interested in hearing anything from him or from members of his beleaguered regime. Most of us woke up to the "news" that al-Qaeda-in-Iraq leader Sheik Abu Hamza al-Muhajer (aka- Abu Ayyub al-Masri) had been killed... again. But this information, like most of what we get from the Bush Regime, may be false. The reports seem to have originated with the puppet government in the Greed Zone, even less reliable a source of information than Cheney. ABC News has gone so far as the state that the reports are not just unconfirmed but "part of a misinformation campaign."
