MSNBC GIVES IMUS THE HEAVE HO

With all the big corporate advertisers pulling their ads and public outrage building about Imus' pattern of vicious racism-- and despite a parade of clownish Inside the Beltway hacks like Begala saying they would continue to be guests on the show-- MSNBC just pulled the plug on the TV half. Let's see if the radio folks give him the boot too. I'm sure Fox will be happy to take him. Media Matters has covered this story like a blanket and they deserve a standing ovation. Ken has a more thoughtful, balanced, informed and less bloodthirsty POV and I want to recommend all DWT readers take a look at it with open minds.


UPDATE: WHERE DO THE PRESIDENTIAL HOPEFULS STAND ON RACISM?

Like Bush, Giuliani and McCain are down with Imus. That's different from Obama, who is down on Imus, Hillary, who said she'd never go on the show again, and Edwards... well, it's sort of like Edwards who's all about kiss and make-up. Meanwhile, CBS Radio says they're monitoring the situation "closely."

CBS fired Imus today. Holy Joe still wants to go on his show.
