IS LINDSEY GRAHAM A HOMO? DOES THE POPE GO POO-POO IN THE WOODS?
>
As I explained for a couple years before Foley was caught boinking the teenage male pages, even if "everyone" knows an elected official is gay, that doesn't mean his constituents know. In DC it was common knowledge that Foley was an outrageous closet queen with a penchant for young military boys. In West Palm Beach and Ft. Lauderdale circles he was a mad queen first and a congressman second. But when it came to the FL-16, to the sugar cane farmers and the churchgoers... not a clue.
Lindsey Graham (R-SC), an unmarried/never married 52 year old with a funny, forced way of walking, has been far more fastidious with his homosexuality. Again, "everyone" knows-- except the voters in conservative South Carolina. Not that it doesn't come up from time to time; people talk. In fact, the head of the Democratic Party in South Carolina said something when the effeminate Lindsey decided to run for Thurmond's senate seat. "He's a little too light in the loafers" to succeed Strom Thurmond. Graham got into a really queenie tizzy fit and loudly threatened to sue-- although he didn't. (They never do.)
One thing is clear, Brig. General Janis Karpinski appears a lot more butch than Lindsey. And today's Wall Street Journal has an hysterical example. Following a screening of Ghosts of Abu Ghraib in Washington on Monday. Pompous little Lindsey got a bit carried away with his usually cautious self and blurted out that Karpinski, then military police commander in Baghdad, got off easy with a demotion to colonel. She should have faced a court-martial, he declared. He was unaware that Karpinski, who had been in the film, was also in the theater. Oh, girl!
The moderator invited her to reply. She didn't challenge Lindsey to a duel. But she had a declaration as well. "Sen. Graham… I consider you as cowardly as Rumsfeld, as Sanchez, and Miller and all of them," said Karpinski, a South Carolina resident who had demanded-- and was denied-- a court martial to clear her name, who has long claimed to be a scapegoat for superiors including former Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld, Lt. Gen. Ricardo Sanchez and Maj. Gen. Geoffrey Miller.
Graham tried joking that he had probably lost her vote. She said she couldn't wait to get home and make sure everyone found out what he had said. Presumably he went running to his best gal-pals Lieberman and McCain to weep on their shoulders after the little contretemps. (Now look at these pics and tell me that's a straight man! I dare you. And look how he likes to dress up in uniforms. That is so gay!)

I read a few months ago that some Repubs in SC didn't think Graham was wing-nutty enough and that he might face a primary challenge in '08. I am betting that Rove told those boys down there to calm down because the Repubs are gonna need to cough up a lot of cash to defend their Senate seats in '08. With all the nonsense the Repubs do pull(gay marriage and all), I wonder who else besides Foley are the self hating type.
This reads as if there's something bad about being gay...
There isn't-- just bad about being gay and voting against the interests of gay people-- the way Graham does. Sorry for not conveying that in the article.
I think most voters in SC have heard that Graham is probably gay just like they knew years before the rest of the nation that Strom had a daughter by a black woman.
South Carolinians are pretty tolerant folks when it comes to human behavior. Read some of Pat Conroy's books.
LG is very popular with moderates and will win in a landslide despite the wingnuts.
South Carolinians are NOT tolerant of human behavior.
Pat Conroy. Yes. But, Conroy is by no means representative of our state.
One of my favorite Pat Conroy books is "Prince of Tides." Secrets, secrets, lies and more secrets and how they destroy the family because we sweep them under the rug instead of dealing with them in an effort to keep up appearances...which is much more important...ahhh, SC...
We aren't tolerant of human behavior and we certainly don't want to understand it.
When Lindsay is outted and he will be because...c'mon...how long does he REALLY think he can hide this? It will be bad.
I will be forgiving but I don't vote for Graham. Some of his supporters may be forgiving...but most? Are you kidding?? 'Cause in case y'all didn't know [the bible says being gay is wrong]
;-) t
Maybe he needs to go to the same place that ted haggerty went to. Does King George II still meet every week with Ted?
You know, in the case of Strom having a black daughter, it wasn't so much that we (South Carolinians) knew, so much as that it wasn't really a shock.
What? A politician of his generation having a child out of wedlock with a black woman? Naaaaaaah...
lindsey is most likely very she-male gay but its her pro illegal immigration b---s---that going to take her out statements made at la-raza could be used to expose her anti-American CITIZEN views. she may be better off wearing her protection orally.
I don't give a rat's ass whether Graham is gay or not. He's not a hypocrite on the issue, and why should I or anyone else care about his sex life.
As for his position on illegal immigration, that's another story -- on that issue he's p0reachy, santimonious, and generally clueless. I hop0e he get's defeated for his stance on that issue and his ill though rhetoric on the top0ic as well.
Earth to Graham: One can favor enforcing existing immigration law, and toughening it to actually prevent it's flouting, even deporting those who do violate such laws, WITHOUT being a bigot or a hater. I know it's hard for him to grasp, nonetheless it is true.
Thanks for the nice post!
Those of you who claim South Carolinian's aren't educated and aren't tolerant must be "imports" from the very 'superior' blue states. I will be doing everything I can to be sure Graham is not re-elected, and not based on your pointless speculation of his sexual orientation. He screwed himself many times, (pardon the expression), beginning with his participation in the "Gang of 14" in 2005. Since then his views on ILLEGAL immigration have pretty much put the nail in his re-election coffin. How shallow of any of you to discuss whether or not he's gay, that's the problem with you liberals. How about we discuss some REAL issues?
Now, ya'll have a nice day!
more random thoughts....
Guess doesn't matter, the gay issue... what does matter is i'm 'wrong' for not supporting gays, even though it's my right to believe it's wrong.. just like it's someone elses right to think it's right to be gay...
I don't need someone to argue with me trying to change my opinion...it's my opinion...
people and political correctness are just stupid... don't people have better things to do? make a living, raise kids, stay healthy, enjoy life... guess everyone is so insecure and wants to cry to mommy when someone says something to hurt their feelings (or cry to lawyer to sue)... get tough and grow up sissy babies...
I hope lindsey isn't gay... are 'old maids' lesbians? not necessarily... if he is... just glad he's not pushing it on me and everyone else to 'accept'...
random enough?
If you believe that Graham is not gay then you are the dumbest person in the world. This guy talks like a sissy, walks like a sissy, and looks like a sissy. How can Republicans be such hippocrates? Why do you think he is a staunch McCain supporter and strongly supported the Amnesty bill?
He knows his senate career is in danger but he's not worried because he figures that McCain will give him a position in the White House if McCain wins the presidency.
Graham's baggage will go a lot further than South Carolina. I'm a republican who can't stand Mccain as it is. Graham just adds to my disgust.
I think Hillary looks awfully good to me now. If she not the nominee, then it's the third party candidate for me.
jealousy rears its ugly head. Senator Graham is far from gay, he is more of a man than most that refer to him as gay. He stands up for what he believes and does what he believes is best for the country, not just a select few. Those that are so sure they know he is gay should watch the clips from the Bachelorette show last night and refer to Robert's "knowing" he had a connection...yup, he connected all right, to the back seat of the limo for his ride home. And for those that bash his views on illegals...what's your solution? And to those South Carolinians that think a no name like Buddy Witherspoon could work the way Lindsey does in Washington...get a clue. Support Lindsey, he won;t forget SC should he find himself even more entrenched in DC...
There is no book in the Christian science fiction genre that comes close to LEDNORF'S DILEMMA. Its unique path to exposing the mental blocks of atheistic scholars and cynical scientists is truly amazing. There are four major concepts in the book. They illuminate new-age theologians, dazzle scientists, and frighten cynical intellectuals. Every point the book makes is inarguable. One wonders: Has the case for Christ and His absolute truth ever been--until now--so powerfully put to the cynical side of the world? The book's suasion is inexorable.
As queer as a $3 bill. Not that there's anything wrong with that. But c'mon, enough of the charade already. LG's got that gay glow in his face that sticks out like a sort thumb.
Vote for Bob Conley for US Senate on November 4th. Sen. Graham-nesty(for Amnesty) is willing to shred the Constitution and Bill of Rights. He is not representing South Carolina. He is on the road every day with John McCain as his personal valet and bag boy. He is simply trying to further his own career by doing so. He sees no threat to his job. He must be replaced. Bob Conley is a Conservative Democrat. Way more to the right on all issues than the moderate, almost liberal, Graham. Vote Conley. HE's only down 50-41% in the polls as of late September. This would be a truly historic win for the people!
whoa
he isn't
Grahamnesty needs to go down.....well not that way...
Yes, Lindsey is a Gay with a girl's name to boot. His parents knew he was when he was born and named him appropriately.Being Gay may or may not be wrong depending on who you ask.But as some state there is nothing wrong with being Gay, then why does he not just "Say So" if it is cool like you say to be gay.Why do they lie about it and make it seem taboo in their own actions.
The glow on his face is called a Pearl White wash.
If he does come out of the closet, he will violate the "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" policy of the military. This swishy little girly-man lawyer got a direct commission in the Air Force reserve as a JAG officer where he hopes to become a Brigadier or Major General for a cushy military retirement when he is 65.
Anyone know the identity of his piece of fluff?
I just was removed from the Gannet owned Grenville Times for suggesting their boy was in the closet. What with Sanford now not resigning and Graham saying he needs work on his marriage, it's a hoot you can't say the obvious.
I used to believe Okla-HOMO- was the stupidest state. Now, and I regret to say, as a New England transplant, its definately South Carolina.
and graham is sooooo against abortion. why doesnt he try being a woman? :-] better still-why doesnt he tell all men to wear a condom so there will not be any need for (or as many) abortions.
""everyone" knows-- except the voters in conservative South Carolina."
Don't bet on that. Everyone I know including my 60 year old mother believes Lindsey is gay and nobody cares.
He is a very nice man. I like him very much. I don't know anybody that did not vote for him. How in the world could you think we don't know?
We knew about Sanford as well. That has been the source of more laughter and giggles than Lindsey ever recieved at cocktail perties.
"I think most voters in SC have heard that Graham is probably gay just like they knew years before the rest of the nation that Strom had a daughter by a black woman.
"
he is correct. Strom's daughter was the best kept secret in the country and the worst kept secret in the country. I was about ten (1972)when I heard my parents and their friend giggling their butts off at a party my parents hosted.
They also did not care. That is a great deal more common here than outsiders can imagine.
Bradfiel - I agree with your comments and respect your family's circumspect and mature attitude regarding this irrelevant aspect of Graham's personal life.
However, you aren't doing anything to help the image of Southern culture by pointlessly mentioning that you were 10 years old in 1972 and that your mother is presently 60 (which would make her 13 the year you were born).
All this couldn't have happened to a nicer guy. Impeachment Manager Graham is getting just what's coming to him.
I agree with Tammy, SC is not tolerant; not even close. In fact, SC is reminding me more and more of 1930s Germany stirring up to follow Hitler. The economic pain and our crumbling state infrastructure are pushing our half-submerged fascism to the surface. It is showing through these lying teaparties, witchhunts, anti-presidential racists, none of which helps make a difference in our society, or lift us out of the muck, but d--m, it feels good to beat the pulp out of someone doesn't it?
I am a gay man...and an out Protestant pastor, btw, andI am as angry at the bigoted remarks and nasty epithets in our press and online, as I am at the things Graham ...and Sanford ...and Dellaney, Bauer, DeMint have done to this state. SC asked for conservative rule, and now we're reaping the shafting by all these conservatives (whom S Carolinians worship as if they were God and R E Lee rolled together) that goes with it.
We need an organization like "Die Weiße Rose" (q.v.) in WWII Germany to work to prevent this fascism from spreading.
Who cares if he's gay? You South -Carolinians are the craziest bunch of perverse idiots and hypocrites. (Although Georgia has its share of self-righteous phonies, too.
Go Cocks!
Southern men, of a certain genre, are soft spoken and fastidious. (See Ashley Wilkes). They may, or may not, be gay. Adjust gaydar in S.C. cos it's not always dependable. In the past, gentlemen who lived with another bachelor were not questioned. They were accepted, as long as no one broke the invisible code. "You just don't talk about such things...evah!" Do and you may disappear...poof...no pun intended!
Graham is another AIPAC funded whore. Throw this bum out, but also make sure AIPAC isn't supporting his competitor. Term limits needed BIG TIME!
I'm from South Carolina, born and raised. I had no clue about Lindsey Graham or Strom Thurmond. I don't think my fellow citizens know either but will be more than happy to tell them. Being from the south as you know we are mostly a christian state and I don't think the people would like this at all.
We complain about abortion 35 yaers??? Do the numbers pal. That's MILLIONS of slaughtered children and you say COMPLAINED? Now about Homo acts. It's does matter. It is unnatural and you folks know it. No, it is none of buisness what one does personally that's legal. But to suggest is isn't perverted is an outrageous distortion of truth. You only harm people when you emotionally support bad behavior. The Bible may be mocked by some. It cannot be refuted to the testament of morality and goodness Jesus taught. Graham has betrayed his party and needs to go. Illegals are indifferent to our laws. So is this governmant..It must be overtaken by Tea Party participants to right the wrongs. They aren't perfect but sure are better people than the leftist antagonist. WE are not to judge...but discern....that is ythe problem with many folk.they do not know the difference...THe so called gay is a confused individual and needs support but embracing the act is reprehensible to any thinking person with an ounce of decency. May sound harsh..the fact is..it is far more loving than the supporters of the ACT> Lust of flesh is what it is.
the answer to both questions is yes! and if you watch the pope closely you will observe his many feminine mannerisms.just ask yourself, what healthy heterosexual man spends his life dressed up in frilly feminine attire and spends his life avoiding the sexual intimacy of women.
