YOU MAY HAVE SURMISED I'M NO FAN OF JOHN McCAIN BUT I WAS STILL SURPRISED THAT OLBERMANN CROWNED HIM THE WORST PERSON IN THE WORLD YESTERDAY

>

Keith Olbermann focused in on McCain's statement that he was "sorry" if any of his colleagues voted for Bush's war proposal thinking it would be "some kind of an easy task." McCain says he knew all along the war in Iraq was "probably going to be long and hard and tough." I knew it too-- and wrote about it here at DWT a lot and sent letters and e-mails to senators and congressmen to that effect. McCain didn't tell anyone. In fact, I guess, he was trying to hide what he knew.

Last night Keith mentioned 3 cases where McCain went on TV and told the American people not to worry because the war would be easy as pie and all would be well. Was he lying then? Lying yesterday? McCain lies all the time so it's hard to tell if he's ever telling the truth about anything.

"I believe that the success will be fairly easy."
-John McCain on CNN, Sept. 24, 2002

"We’re not going to have a bloodletting of trading American bodies for Iraqi bodies."
-John McCain on CNN, Sept. 29, 2002

"We will win this conflict. We will win it easily."
-John McCain on MSNBC, Jan. 22, 2003

Has anyone asked him what he thinks about Pat Robertson... this week?

Gotta love Keith. He is the reason I can actually sit back and watch a cable news show.

If McCain thought it was gonna be hard, why is he still hanging with the AEI crowd? Why didn't he tell Rummy to plan for a post invasion occupation? McCain is as guilty as all the rest. I wouldn't be suprised if he really is scared shitless that he knows his presidential dreams are going down the crapper. The only thing missing for McCain is that sound bite that would perfectly encapsulate his downfall, like George Allen's macaca moment, or Frist's playing doctor on the Senate floor.
