WHEN KARL ROVE SAYS HE IS GOING TO HELP YOU, HE MEANS IT

>

And, just take a look at this!!!

Who knew that Joe Lieberman was holding the country together like this? Wow!!! Holy Joe!!! We didn't know you were this powerful.

Never in the history of Democrats have so many Republicans done so much for so few… or one really. This is amazing. And, this is the same guy who said he was way different from Mr. Bush? That he was a real Dem?

Even Tiny Snow… oops, did I say Tiny, my bad. Even Tony Snow got the message from on high. Tony tells us that a vote for Lamont is a vote for another 9/11. That is pretty strong language.

Ken Mehlman got the message when he refused to endorse the CT Republican candidate. Odd, this one ex-Democrat inspires this kind of attention.

Here is what Joe does not know. They are using him. They have no intentions of splitting any majorities they might win with an R behind a name in the Senate. Either Joe becomes a Republican or he will fade, eventually, into obscurity. Joe functions very well for Mr. Rove right now, and Karl knows how to work a wounded ego. This one primary was only one, and the focus on it serves the GOP in putting a spotlight on their version of the "terror issue." Joe also serves these manipulators by decrying his own party. You will never be one of them until you agree to enter into their Party and be under their thumb.

Here is something you need to know, Joe: they see you are not loyal to your own. They see you serve yourself and yourself alone. They see that you are a sucker. You will say anything to save face. Worse yet, Joe, and this is painful, they see that you are a loser.

To state it bluntly, you are a stoolie, Joe. You are a turncoat. And, once a turn coat always a turncoat.

You are of short term use to them. I hate to be the one to tell you, but you have been had.

And, repairing the damage to the Party and the COUNTRY you say you love will take its toll on us all.

Good-bye, Joe. There was no grace or class in your exit. And, that is exactly what it is, no matter how much flattery the right wing lavishes on you this week.

AFTERTHOUGHT: LET ME INTERJECT SOME MORE LIEBERHOUNDIA INTO MAGS' PIECE

First, a Pool Report from Air Force One

Aboard Air Force One from Waco to Wisconsin-- Rove Administration official speaks on politics

Rove A senior administration official came to the press cabin during the flight to Green Bay to reflect on background about the CT primary and other political matters. Rove The official noted that Lamont's victory reflected the opinions of a tiny fraction of the electorate-- about 7 percent. "I have to be careful about not extrapolating too much, but the fact of the matter is that as the election got closer, the race got closer," Rove the official said. "It went from 13 to 6 to 4 in the last 10 days of the
campaign. And I think that's in part because at the end of the day people look at the consequences of failure and the consequences of victory, the consequences of withdrawal and the consequences of
finishing the fight, and they draw very important lessons about what it means to our country.

"So, if you have Lamont Democrats who say, 'Bring 'em home, turn away, and it will be all over,' the
American people say, 'You're kidding yourself. We're in war and the only way you walk away from a war is as a victor, defeating the enemy.'"

Asked whether it was appropriate to talk about war in the context of a political campaign, Rove the official replied: "You lost me." Rove The official added: "The issue's going to be discussed in the fall. ... Are you saying if the Democrats talk about the war,
we shouldn't?... We'll talk about the war and we will talk about the consequences of the policies advocated by the Democrats."

Rove The official went on to describe a plan to stage US troops in Okinawa proposed by Rep. John Murtha as "laughable." "With all due respect to Congressman Murtha, the idea that a rapid response force is going to be 6,000 miles by sea and 4,900 miles by air, assuming you get overflight rights form the People's Republic of China and the Islamic Republic of Iran, that's laughable. At the end of the day, the American people look at this and say, 'I was either for going in or not going in, but we're in. And it's vital to the security of the United States of America that we win.'"

Rove The official waved off the suggestion that the president's low approval rating
was leading GOP candidates to shy away from campaigning with him. "All I know is we get more requests for his time than we could shake a stick at," Rove the official said. "If we had about two or three more months we could fulfill all the requests that are sitting on our desks right now for him to come in."

Rove The official predicted that the long-term dram of expanding Republican
majorities remains intact. "I'm confident over the long haul that yes, we will. The Republican majority is real and it will go up and it will go down. But in the short term, the next several election cycles, it
will go more up than down."

Earlier, the Senior Administration official Rove had come back to talk on the record. Here's the Pool Report:

POOL REPORT

KARL ROVE CAME BACK to pool and talked on record ON LIEBERMAN ABOARD AIR FORCE ONE

SAYS HE CALLED LIEBERMAN.., AND SAID HE'S A PERSONAL FRIEND

rove: Called lieberman TUESDAY AFTERNOON AT ABOUT 5 PM AND WISHED HIM Well.....election day

These people are fiends. John over at AMERICAblog has the most sickening story of the day about how Rove and Bush (and former Democrat, Joe Lieberman) gleefully seized the London terrorist story to try to rescue the sagging political fortunes of their criminal party. Rove was exulting how it "would play big."

UPDATE: ROVE'S NEWEST OLD TRICK-- USING THE RED ALERT TO SAVE THE GOP'S SORRY ASS

My pal Jesse over at The Stakeholder has a blow by blow time line (literally) of how Bush cashed in and has been politicizing terror today. This is straight out of 1984! Who knew Giuliani was such a fast writer!

Boy, Howie has added so much interesting supplementary material that it distracted me earlier from getting back to Mags's original piece, about which I wanted to say: DEAD ON, MAGS! Just plain nailed the pathetic sucker, who's so totally a legend in his own mind that he has no idea what a tool he is--in several of the various senses of the word.

I think you've got the Repubs' attitude toward him exactly right: His careerlong display of gutlessness and disloyalty to the people who were SUPPOSED to be "his own" makes him the LAST person they would ever trust.

Same thing they did to Linda Tripp.

It was an easy call. They go the distance for very few.

Once you are outed, like DeLay, they pretty much leave you in the dust.
