THE FAR RIGHT WANTS NUKES, BIOLOGICAL WARFARE... AND THEIR SLAVES BACK

>

Paul Harvey has been a vicious right-wing extremist maniac, ranting and raving and poisoning the airwaves with his vitriol and lies for many decades. Long before Limbaugh, then a 2 bit grotesquely overweight comedian who hadn't discovered oxycontin yet, stumbled into the new era of Hate Talk radio, Paul Harvey had long been a darling of fringe right-wing nuts, blissfully spewing his Know-Nothing far right hysteria. And although he's mellowed a bit as his senility has become more and more apparent, he's still capable of showing American's all that's wrong with the BushCheney vision of America. Now a "personality" for Disney's ABC network, the venal Harvey must have thought he was doing a KKK broadcast a week or so ago.

He started off just with his regular whacky fare of defending Bush-era aggressiveness-- but he soon spiraled completely out of control, lamenting the days when Americans had slaves and exterminated Indians! But before he got into extermination and slavery he was babbling about nuking Iraqis and Afghans. "We sent men with rifles into Afghanistan and Iraq and kept our best weapons in their silos," he lamented. I guess that got him all excited because he broke lose right after that:

"We didn't come this far because we're made of sugar candy. Once upon a time, we elbowed our way onto and across this continent by giving smallpox-infected blankets to Native Americans. That was biological warfare. And we used every other weapon we could get our hands on to grab this land from whomever.

"And we grew prosperous. And yes, we greased the skids with the sweat of slaves. So it goes with most great nation-states, which--feeling guilty about their savage pasts--eventually civilize themselves out of business and wind up invaded and ultimately dominated by the lean, hungry up-and-coming who are not made of sugar candy."

Thanks, Disney! Thank God you protected America from Michael Moore and instead run this kind of trash EVERY WEEK. (When Disney decided to forbid Miramax from distributing FAHRENHEIT 9/11, one of their corporate flacks said: "Disney caters to families of all political stripes and believes Mr. Moore's film...could alienate many." Of course this broadcast would only alienate sane people-- so who cares?)
