KARL ROVE TO JOIN DELAY AND "DUKE" IN PRISON?

As hated and reviled as Rumsfeld, Wolfowitz, Bush and Cheney are, no one in American politics is closer to the very heart of Evil than Karl Rove, the brains behind Bush and his rogue regime's grab for power. Many people assumed all along that it was Rove or someone who worked directly for him who leaked Valerie Plame's name to right-wing partisan propagandist Robert Novak as revenge for her husband, Ambassador Joseph Wilson, telling the truth about Bush's lies regarding Saddam trying to buy nuclear material from Niger. Novak and Rove didn't seem to realize that it is illegal-- and possibly treason-- to reveal the name of a CIA agent. This leak did tremendous damage to U.S. intelligence and endangered sources and lives in a very significant way. Now what so many people were "sure" of all along, turns out to be correct. The Time Magazine documents turned over to the judge in the Judith Miller/Matt Cooper case indicate that the source of the leak was Rove. Even if it is too much to hope that Rove will be executed for treason, as he should be, he is still clearly guilty of purgery for lying to a grand jury under oath about not having leaked the information. Let's see how Bush, Inc worms its way out of this one!
A little PS- Willing disclosure of the identity of a covert operative is a serious felony under Federal law, punishable by fine and/or imprisonment. The Intelligence Identities Protection Act of 1982 makes it a crime for anyone with access to classified information to intentionally disclose information identifying a covert operative. The penalties get worse for doing it to a deep cover Direcorate of Operations (DO) case officer
like Valerie Plame.

"The president has made it clear that he wants to get to the bottom of this investigation. The leaking of classified information is a very serious matter. The president directed everybody at the White House to cooperate fully in the investigation. I, obviously, want to do my part to cooperate, and if there is something that can help those who are leading this investigation get to the bottom of it, I am more than happy to share that information with them. But if you have specific questions relating to an ongoing investigation, those questions are best directed to the Department of Justice. The Department of Justice is the one that is overseeing this matter. I want to do everything I can, if there is anything I can do, to help that investigation move forward so that we can get to the bottom of this.
Earlier today I suggested we wait and see how Bush Inc would worm their way out of Rove being charged with treason. Well, we didn't have to wait long. Apparently the found a patsy-- I. Lewis "Scooter" Libby, chief of staff for Vice President Cheney. Libby has agreed to take the rap in an attempt to protect Rove (and Cheney?).
Apparently there is now hard evidence in the hands of Special Prosecutor Fitzgerald that shows incontrovertably that Karl Rove spoke with Matt Cooper about Valerie Plame. Rove's spurious defense is that he did not INTENTIONALLY OR KNOWINGLY reveal Valerie Plame's identity. And that statute says to be guilty one must INTENTIONALLY OR KNOWINGLY have revealed the identity of an agent. Let's see if a jury believes that one. Hopefully Rove's jury will be a little more interested in Justice than the one that worked on the Michael Jackson case.
