Midnight Meme Of The Day!

by Noah

As P.T. Barnum, the head of another famous circus once said, "There's A Sucker Born Every Minute." Actually, they are born at a much faster rate these days, and have been for quite some time.

It seems that, in addition to a liking for Barnum, Traitor Don has read and studied the books of George Orwell and Adolf Hitler well. Those two authors are the obvious sources of Trump's style. It's so obvious that you can't really say he hasn't read their books. That may be two more authors than his easily lead, intellectually lazy supporters.

  1. Good one, Noah. Given last night's news, TREASON has arrived front and center.

Everything about Trump has been and is a LIE that he has put forth on the American people, and fewer and fewer are buying it these days. His two phrases - "there was no collusion" and "it's a witch hunt" are the biggest lies of all time. I now believe that in the end, Trump will go down.

Of course there actually was "collusion" (although "conspiracy" is more to the point), which has become glaring and Mueller will undoubtedly be able to prove, given yesterday's surprise release of Michael Cohen's statement that Trump knew all about and approved of Don Jr's meeting with the Russians in advance. (Michael Cohen's value as a witness is now exponential and he'd better be protected because the Russians would love to knock him off.) Trump was conspiring throughout the election and continues to conspire with the Russians against American interests. He has done much to undermine protecting our election system, our foreign policy and our institutions. Why did he recently eliminate the office of chief of global cyber security? The answer is obvious and staring us in the face, like everything else he has said and done - he wants to help the Russians continue to assist him and the Republicans in the 2018 election. Microsoft has already revealed evidence of attempted hacking of three Democratic senatorial candidates.

It is not a "witch hunt" - it is a real effort to unveil Trump's traitorous behavior. Comey recognized it very early on. Trump has been "in" with the Russians for decades and has done everything to gain their assistance. It is all about MONEY. The Russians own Trump 100%. He is their money launderer and he may well be bankrupt when the chips fall. That would be just great, Noah!!!

The extent and blatancy of his lying is simply incredible and astounding. It is hard to wrap one's head around this. Everything out of his mouth has been a big fat lie. Don Jr's too - his performance lying to Congress about that Trump Tower meeting - that his father knew nothing about it and that it was so unimportant - is just like his dad's MO. Just lie with a straight face. (And the Republicans in the House bought it and refused to follow up - they never even got his phone records - which would likely show he called his father before and after the meeting. I'll bet Mueller has them.) The Trumps are a family of traitorous liars extraordinaire.

The Republicans should pay for their treason supporting this whole charade. Nunes and others should go to prison along with the Trumps. TRAITORS.

The news is going to continue to amaze us over the next few months.

Taking Hone's entire comment at face value . . .

The nation has not faced a conspiracy this huge since the outbreak of the Civil War. Just sending a few Republicans to prison isn't going to repair the damage the Republican party has done to this nation throughout its entire existence. It helped make the modern corporation huge and economically powerful, then aided in the effort to embed that economic power into political power. The Attempted Coup in 1934 wasn't about reducing taxes on the wealthy, after all. And in true Democratic fashion, FDR essentially decided to look forward and not back, leaving the conspirators in place to found dynasties seeking to achieve the same goals at a later date.

I don't believe that the Democrats have it in them to deal with this crisis. Are we left to hoping that a few Republicans (and enough military) remain patriotic?

I'm going to see if I can find a life jacket before the Ship of State goes down.

    1) all religions rely on humans' capacity to disbelieve that which is proved, seen and felt; and to believe insipid lies told to them by those with power and/or white collars and robes.

Were humans always rational, there would be no jobs for clergy and both US parties would not be able to exist.

    2) Of course the democraps don't have it in them to deal. They helped create the crisis so they could ca$h in from the corporations who have been creating this for nearly a half century. Their last straw was likely the breakup of AT&T in the late '70s.

Skip the life jacket. It won't be worth surviving. It's going to get a lot worse.

yes. all the bronze age religions along with the religions of capitalism and American exceptionalism. Also the religion of climate denialism.

It's the 21st century. Maybe humans were never evolved sufficiently to exist perpetually as a species. Far too many non-survivable genetic flaws.

To paraphrase Winston Churchill, humans are the most successful species of the epoch - at the expense of all the others.
