Watch Daylin Leach's statement on sensible gun control in the video above. It's likely to be the only substantive thing you'll hear about guns in the campaign for the congressional seat being given up by Allyson Schwartz (Northeast Philadelphia and Montgomery County). There are 4 Democrats in this primary-- and aside from Daylin, so one has a record on guns... and that's the way they like it.
Recently the insufferable Chris Matthews fed batty former congresswoman Marjorie Margolies-Mezvinsky a softball lede about how wonderful PA-13 is, emphasizing all the wonderful parts of the district and then leaving it for her to mention what she loves about the district. She doesn't live in the district and doesn't really know it and just started babbling about all the wonderful places hunters can bring dead deer to get them butchered. It's not really that kind of district-- even if it was when she was defeated by a Republican a couple of decades ago, a Republican who ran to the left of her on Social Security!
But the thing is about a state with a right-wing governor and right-wing state legislature, like Pennsylvania, is that gun legislation is never brought to the floor to be voted on and made into an issue. So unless you've introduced legislation (which Daylin has) or written editorials (which Daylin has), or participated in public debates on the issue (which Daylin has)-- and which none of his opponents have-- they can say whatever they want to now about how they really "feel." But none of the other three were noticeably present while Daylin has been fighting these battles.
Watch the video again. If that's the kind of congressman you'd like to see representing PA-13, please consider contributing to his campaign here. He's been endorsed by Blue America and endorsed by Alan Grayson.
Read the Constitution, that maybe you swore to uphold. I don't need you to protect me because you're not capable of it and because MY constitution says that I CAN protect myself and MY loved ones. You banned me from posting on your FB page, because I posted that, Pharmaceuticals were linked to EVERY mass shooting. Typical Representative, to run from the truth, than to actually try and solve something. Your "ideas" are the same as so many others before you, but because of your ignorance, and maybe your investments in the Pharmaceutical Industry, you don't really care to stop the next mass shooting. As for anyone that might happen to come across his page on FB, what ever you do, don't object to what he has to say or you'll be banned to. Fair warning.
ReplyDeleteRestricting gun laws isn't taking them away. You can learn how to protect your family with a shotgun, or a regular ol' gun. You don't need a machine gun of sorts.. and you also need to get a background check, is so that so restrictive? It is to make sure the people who have to take those pharmaceutical drugs are mentally sane and will not take the guns they are given and harm themselves or others.. that seems pretty common sense.
ReplyDeletePharmaceuticals as a catalyst to shootings? What in the fu** are you talking about?
People who shot other people tend to be DEVIANTS of society, tend to have psychological problems. People will CHEMICAL IMBALANCES in their heads tend to get psychiatric help, and with therapy comes medication. The medication is not a catalyst to shoot people idiot, medication is meant to help. . . The connection you see isn't drugs are making people insane and kill other people..
When you see shootings and pharmaceutical companies... that doesn't mean the medicine they are giving makes them shoot people.. what's wrong with you? Seriously, what right minded person would EVER think that. I am literally sitting here about to vomit over that stupidity. It's no wonder why you were deleted on fb, I would not want someone that narrow-minded to write on my fb wall either. It's not because he is a politician it's because you're spreading the dumbest sh** I have ever heard.
I really don't need to say anything in response to your post...your own words did enough damage to your character. Anyone with a half a brain, who follows the Pharmaceutical Industry or the Constitution, knows you're totally clueless. Not to disrespect you, but you do have a computer right in front of you, so please learn how to do research on your own and stop being a sheeple to your Representatives...please.
ReplyDeleteblog should be called downwithintelligence..."aside from Daylin, so one has a record on guns... and that's the way they like it"...assume you meant no one (proofing apparently not your strong suit)...really?...marjorie margolies voted for the brady bill and a ban on assault weapons (the two most significant pieces of federal gun legislation in the last two decades...it's in her announcement speech but don't let the facts get in your way
