BUSH AND IMUS--  A MATCH MADE IN HEAVEN HELL

>

This morning when I woke up and turned on CNN, Soledad was quoting Bush saying he approved of Don Imus' apology and that should end the controversy. The controversy is the best news the Bush Regime has had all month. It certainly beats the huge spike in the death rate among American soldiers stationed in Iraq or the increasing chaos there. It beats the news about having to ship more National Guards units there for second tours of duty and keep them there longer and even sending wounded soldiers back into battle.

It beats the news about the gigantic spike in gasoline prices. The Bush Regime likes the Imus story in the headlines instead of more stories about Gonzales and fired U.S. Attorneys and the politicization of the Department of Justice, especially now that people are finally starting to ask what kind of corrupt crud didn't get fired. I'm sure he'd rather have people talking about "nappy-headed hos" than Monica Goodling. And anything to get Henry Waxman and his investigations into the backs of the papers and off the teevee sets.

No, it may not be Anna Nicole Smith, but Imus is the best thing that's happened for Bush, Cheney and Rove since her story moved off the front page. Had Imus not stumbled back onto the front pages they might have been forced to do something really stupid-- like attack the Speaker of the House for taking a trip to Syria after leading her to think they had no problem with her going.

AND EVEN GOD HAS TURNED ON BUSH NOW

It's snowing in Crawford, ruining Bush's vacation.

If anyone cares to read it, One of our writers on Highbrid Nation actually worked wit Imus over the last few years at WFAN and had some really interesting things to say about the whole situation with Imus and he also has some inside info that the media hasn't mentioned about the whole story.

See a tongue-in-cheek visual of Imus and his newfound buddy, Michael Richards, hanging out and counting sheep...here:
